Favorite B-Side

Just curious, what’s your favorite “non-hit” Roxette song?
I have WAY to many to mention.... right now, it’s “Jefferson” for me.
Roxette-atic said on April 7, 2007 10:53:
Well first of all “Jefferson” is not a b-side. My favorite b-side for the moment ( as with all Roxette-songs, it changes all the time) must be “Turn To Me” or “The Sweet Hello, The Sad goodbye”.
PiterPam said on April 7, 2007 21:26:
My favorite b-side is 7twenty7 T&A Demo. This song rocks so much. Much better than the album-version.

Jefferson & Love Is All are no B-sides; what’s this topic really about?
rox-kuryliw said on April 8, 2007 10:48:
ye i thought it was b-side single only songs, im confused, but hay more often than not i am lol.
animalkingdom said on April 8, 2007 12:23:
Oh, it also read “non-hit”. I’ve always had a thing about Fireworks! That’s not a hit, is it? ;-)
Just B-sides, Entering Your Heart & The Voice are gems!
iseggie said on April 8, 2007 13:13:
Fireworks was released as a single here in Canada - I remember it being played on the Top 40 radio stations, but it didn’t stay on the charts for long which is too bad.
I also like “Stupid” of The Pop hits, oh yah, and “Starring at The Ground”. I’ve also always liked “Surrender” from Pearls of Passion.
What’s a non-hit or B-Side might vary from country to country as well.
tevensso (moderator) said on April 8, 2007 14:00:
Love is All was the b-side of the Run to You UK 7”. A shorter version.
I think my favorite b-side/non-hit/whatever is Crazy About You but I keep forgetting songs from time to time.
iseggie said on April 9, 2007 03:49:
This isn’t a single or a b-side but I am a huge fan of the MTV Unplugged version of “Joyride”.

Crazy About You/Silver Blue. Both are equally good to me.
Roxreporter said on April 9, 2007 08:24:
Must be “See Me”, witch I think is better than it’s a-side “Salvation”.
animalkingdom said on April 9, 2007 08:52:
@ iseggie
That was actually the b-side to Crash! Boom! Bang!. :-)
the big D. said on April 9, 2007 11:30:
hmmm. there are lots of interesting b-sides actually. what about...”seduce me”? in my opinion, the demo version of “june afternoon” is better than the final “album” version. so powerful, the drums in thze background...simply fantastic! Oh, I’m pleased that it will be june soon to drive through the city while hearing this song aloud...
Yippieh!

I´d deffinitely have to say The Sweet Hello, the Sad Goodbye. Some other B-sides as Entering your Heart, Every Day and The Weight of the Worl are way better than singles like Stars, Salvation or Real Sugar.
Angl_Tht_Rox84 said on April 14, 2007 22:48:
I’d have to choose ” Turn To Me” because the song may be short, but it captures your attention in that short time. Pretty amazing if you ask me. It reminds me of a gyllene tider piece from the Heartland cd. Even though niether one is anyway similar, but it still brings it to mind.

it must be those two: “see me” and “entering your heart” for their beauty and non-Roxette style of those songs. weird for a fan to write it but that is what makes them special.
HBrox said on April 19, 2007 17:16:
For me , those will be “The sweet hello the sad goodbye”, “entering your heart”, “crazy about you” , “Bla Bla Bla Bla” and “better off on her own”.. God.. we have so many good b-sides that they could put together a new album out of them...I mean, if they would make them accessable before.
abysmo said on April 19, 2007 19:48:
Yes, more than 20 b-sides or demos. And many more we’ ve never heard. Like Monster Hangover, for example.

Hello roxers,
may favorite b- side song ist ” Better off on her own” and “See me” one very strong song.
Rox_Nox2003 said on May 3, 2007 19:06:
The Sweet Hello The Sad Goodbye ... strong powerful dramatic! LIke old rox ballads used to sound!
Turn to me ... probably the first time Marie’s voice made me go insane!
Entering Your Heart ... arrangements and the magic feel of the melody this lovely mash up of “enya meets depeche mode” almost like ... great song! totally underrated mostly by us...
See Me ... never a song like this has ever made me cry ...it’s not the lyrics but the whole melody ... it’s so sad and lonely

I’ll have to say “Turn To Me” and “THe Voice”. They’re also very easy to sing to. Well... with “Turn To Me”, ya need to have a very clear throat on the day. I loved singin’ to it.

What Do think about BlaBlaBla (You broke my Heart). It wasn’t on any album, only on the Bonus CD of the Pop Hits. So I think it´s a B-Side. It´s a simple Power Pop Ballad, such as the Songs from the The Worls According To Gessle Album.
I also love the instrumentals from the Händig Man Session. The songs allways remindes me of a swedish movie. A typical swedish movie.
Cheers
Marc

“See Me”, without a doubt. One of my absolute favourite Roxette songs
roxettemalin said on October 12, 2007 16:08:
I don’t know if these songs are b-sides but it is “non-hits” I think; “Love Is All (Shine Your Light)”, “Small Talk” and “Came Back (Before You Leave)”. I really love all of them!
abysmo said on April 7, 2007 10:44:
If you mean b-side, than it’ s definitively The Sweet Halo The Sad Goodbye. But I like many Roxette b-sides (Entering Your Heart, Happy Together, The Weight Of The World, One Is Such A Lonely Number, I Do Believe...). If you mean no singles songs, than Little Miss Sorrow, Something In The System (these 2 are my favourites), Breathe, Comeback, Things Will Never Be The Same, Do You Wanna Go The Whole Way, Give You Up, Voices. They have so many great songs.
