Baby, What Else Can I Do?

I’ve been reading the latest posts here and I’m NOT posting this to start yet NEW fights or make MORE fans unhappy....
Roxette have been, in some way or another, been an important part of our lives. To most of us, I think, they still are an important part of our lives.
Roxette’s love-crazed ballads and horny teenager pop songs have been with us as we have been through our motions. We’ve all cried to their lovesongs as we went through bad relationships. We’ve all been hopping and singing along to the fast tracks. We’ve all collected their albums, pictures and stuff and it was the most fun most of us had.
Now, as I read these angry posts most of you make, I beging to see that the fun factor about Roxette has seemingly died (along with their bad management and EMI’s promo).
If Roxette go on or not, I want you all to go back to those fond memories you had when Roxette was still #1 in your lives and remember the great gift that Marie and Per gave us. Don’t be so angry and don’t worry too much about what Roxette’s future might hold. Love them and yourselves like you did before and be friends! Live is short, why fight all the time.
I still think of myself as a love-crazed, pimpled teenager when I listen to songs like The Look and I still listen to those sad ballads when I feel down.
Music is there for our entertainment - to lift us up when we are down, to talk to us in support and telling us that someone else has gone through what we are going through.
Just enjoy the music.

Wise words! Well said!
I can assure you that most of the Roxette-fans..(at least the ones I know) are not like the people here...
This Forum is strange and has always been strange to me! I never felt at home here and it doesn’t matter what you post here you’ll get bad words and negative vibrations. Maybe it’s because there are so many mixed nationalities and mentalities...but on the other side...it’s not like this in other forums.
The funfactor about Roxette hasn’t died. Maybe here in the forum...yes..but that happened already a long time ago. I don’t know why!

Wise words Coy Roy
I agree woth Criz.
Fun factor about Roxete is stil alive!!
Exactly one week ago there was Roxette fan meeting in my house and the fun was enormous .There were even new fans.
And the fun factor stays when there are some mixed nationalities .
(There are to many old stories and ghosts in this forum! :-)))
Few russian fans visited me last summer and travelling with them across my counrty was the JOYful trip ever!!
In the autumn i return this visit and in every russian town in which i was i found lovely Roxette fans and we have big parties singing all our favorite song :-)))
As an ex-sportsman i would say–Roxette were champions many times in many countries and 4 times in USA.
Once you become a champion you are the champion for the whole life!
So i don’t care and don’t worry too much about what Roxette’s future might hold.
They are my champions forever!

@ CoyRoy
It could not have been said any better!
@ Everyone
Just think of the way you feel if you are really really really down or pissed off or just generally unhappy, and you hear Marie’s voice?!?
Or see a great music video of them?!?
Nobody can tell me that it does not put them in a totally different frame of mind - and it doesn’t matter whether it is something from 10, 12, 2 or 18 years ago,
ROXETTE STILL RULES!!!!!!
We should all be thanking Marie and Per for what they have done for us...

@ CoyRoy Once again, I agree, you have said it and got it in one.
Roxette for me has been the best thing in music that could possibly have happened. I have a roxette songs that can remind me of a place and time, or a moment in my life, happy or sad, but mostly all the best memory’s of my life.
I have nothing but warm, fun and loving emotions for Roxette.
Hopefully we might get new music some day, and intergrate them into even more happy fun and enjoyable times in the future.
But all I can say is Thankyou Roxette, for being the best thing in music that has ever happened.
I think we should all stay on this Joyride Roxette has given us.

Roxette Forever!!
I love Roxette and their music and they have songs that define years in my life. They are the best and always will be, regardless of if they make new music or not. They are talented and thats all that matters.

I was hoping to get you guys positive about my post here....it seems to have worked.
I remember collecting pictures of Roxette when I was still in school (I still do collect pics) and those days, paging through my Roxette books, were the happiest moments of my life. With a Roxette cd spinning in the cd player, watching the pictures and singing along to every word, made me happy and it made me forget about the ugliness that is in the world.
Music is there for OUR entertainment - USE IT AS ENTERTAINMENT!! Jump on! Join the joyride!!
