A big hello to all Mariefans!! :-)
In the Topic “Go Marie” VinterangelHH wrote that it would be really cool if there would be a forum only for Mariefans.
So I (also a big Mariefan) thought I’ll start first with an Topic only for Mariefans, a place were all Fans meet and talk about our “little queen of stages”!
I think the idea with the Roxette Topics for different countries is great, so why not one for “specially Marie”?
Would be great to meet ya all here soon!

At one Topic we were talking about the Interview from Marie’s DVD,
I’m really interested in an translation in german, cause I only understand a small part of it!
And I’m interested in how you all got a Mariefan, how did you think about her when you got a Roxettefan?

For me it happened a lot of years ago, when I was a child. I saw Marie in Roxette and I really started to like her because she was so different from all the other singers. Four years ago I accidentally bought Roxette album “Don´t Bore Us - Get To The Chorus”. After listening that I became a HUGE Roxette fan! I started collecting all their albums and listened them all the time. I still do!
But after they had released “Have A Nice Day”, I started to like Marie more and more. At first I only admired her angelic voice, but soon I became really interested in Marie herself too! That was the period it all started and I suddenly realized that I admire absolutely everything about her, every little detail - her clothes, her hair, her face, her body, voice of course, how she talks, how she answers questions on interviews... Most of all it was her simplicity, that she never seemed to be rude or selfish like some other stars.
Well, you have no idea what I felt when I heard that Roxette is going to have a concert in my country! I was sure that concert would be great, but could have never imagined that it would be so fantastic! It was incredible to look Marie there, on the stage and wave to her! She even waved back!
I have never actually met her, but it is my biggest dream. I hope it comes true one day!
Marie has given me so much, my life would have been very empty without her. When I´m sad, lonely or tired I always listen Roxette or some Marie solo album and everytime it makes me feel much better. It´s a cure for me! I have the same problem as many others of you - lots of people consider me really weird for being such a crazy fan, but I don´t care at all! I love this woman deeply with every breath and I thank god that she exists!

I became Rox-fan actually because of the music.
Later I fell in love with Marie (“although” she is a woman and I am too) and still don´t know how it could happen. It just happened. This phase is over now, but I still love her very much.
I think during the time Marie has become more friendly to fans; in former times I think she did not always have positive thoughts about fans... she was kind of square. But now she is even friendlier than Per sometimes! I love the way she is now!!

She lent me some albums like Tourism, and I thought: Wow, their music is really cool!
Than when I came for the first time in her room, there were all over posters of Roxette.
This was the day when I got a real big Roxettefan.
But it lasted a while until I got a real Mariefan, at the beginning I was a little bit more interested in Per.
But with the time I got more and more a Mariefan.
Everytime when I saw her in interviews, shows on stages I thought: Wow! she has something really special.
and now: Uuuhh! She’s sooo special, soo wonderful, she’s my sweet little queen of stages! ;-))

Firstly I was really a fan of roxette in general cos’ I didn’t know that MF was such an amazing solo-artist, but then when I discovered it ,I’ve started to search for her solo records ,buy and listening them and I was so enthusiastic by her solo-music ,by the texts she wrote
becoming a great fan of her! but when I had the chance to meet her I was really impressed by her kindness .Then after the concerts (rs-tour and mf solo tournee’ ) I saw ,I ’m even more proud to be a fan of such a great musician, extremely talented singer and great hearted woman!
That’s why I will support her for ever!

wow!! it feels sooo great to see so many MF real fans. well when i see joyride video (the first roxette song that i’ve heard & see) i was just shocked, by the music, but marie’s voice & image was that impressed me in a incredible way...everyday i ask myself how would be my life without MF & roxette!!

Okay, now comes my story...!
Well, I became a fan when they released JOYRIDE! I remember that our music teacher at school allowed us to listen to some popmusic after each lesson. So once someone came with JOYRIDE and I thought “WOW! Who is that???”. I already knew LTYH from MTV and so I discovered that JOYRIDE was from the same band. I started buying all their albums and one day a friend of mine introduced me MF’s soloalbum “Den ständiga resan” I loved it and I bought it too! Then came one day at school when my music teacher wanted us to introduce a contemporary musician and of course I thought “Roxette!”. I had to make a decision if I wanted to introduce either Per or Marie but then I chose MF! I was reading their biography - which was just published - and I became more and more interested in her life and I started loving her! I think my feelings became stronger and stronger the more I knew about her!!! So since 1994 I call myself a MF fan :-)!

What do you think in which video she looks most beautiful?
I think in “M&T&H” and “Wish I could fly”, in both videos she looks soo beautiful.
And of course in the old videos like “Silver blue” or “Listen to your heart” she looks really sweet, too! :-)
