I’ve been thinking, now that the Hits hype seems to have passed, what could be in store for Roxette’s 20th year in the international charts (2008)? I have one idea, but whether or not it’ll happen I don’t know. But here’s what I think would be a good idea...
At the moment, Depeche Mode have been remastering their albums since they’ve been around for 25 years (as of 2006). These albums have a bonus DVD with an interview, the album, plus some bonus material from that album’s era. This got me thinking...
Roxette have already released an updated version of “Pearls of Passion” with bonus tracks. Perhaps they could do the same with the rest? For example, the updated version of “Look Sharp!” could have the original 13 tracks, plus songs like “The Voice”, “Don’t Believe in Accidents”, or maybe even rare stuff like “From Head to Toe”...
Something to think about...
What do you think could happen? :)

I think that nothing will happen. SOAP 2, more burnt wood - sorry ’charcoal paintings’ from Marie (!). More moaning from Rox fans around the world ... and in the words of pinky and the brain: we will do what we always do: plan to take over the world! Mwah mwah mwah!

well the thing is that roxette albums always had a great sound therfore there is not much to remaster. on the ’hits’ s cd there were appearently some remastered tracks, did anyone hear any differences???
I so would not welcome reissues. and if there s not to be anymore roxette album i m very happy if they at least do some solo stuff

Mmm remasters would be cool for the 25th celabrations (or in 2009 for the 20th of The Look’s success), but right now I think it’s time for them to get their hands dirty and do some new projects - be it Roxette or solo!
Did I mention that I’m so excited about SOAP II - hoping we’ll get a more ’Autobahn’- Tubulor bells-Pink Floyd kinda sound!

Yees, yees...Didn’t quite put the whole picture together the first time. First there was something about Roxette’s year 2008 and then you speak about the Bahamas etc. Got it now though.
