Hi roxers,
I know we all can be habbpy that rox are still alive.
My big wish is tht rox will make a new single like in old times ( The look, Sleeping in my car ). This sound was great.
But in reality I think roxette are dead. Hard to say that, but it ist fact.
Per and Marie have reached so much, thank you very much for everything
Iàm as fan hope of course that you tour the world again, but I can undersatand it, that health and family are the most importand things in life.

Good single + Marie’s willingness + state of the art promotion = success again.
Good single they can always make.
Marie’s willingness is as of now 50/50.
State of the art promotion by EMI; highly doubtful. Highly unlikely.
Therefore, we better be really positive and hopeful. Let’s be honest, EMI doesn’t really put any effort at all to promote anything from Roxette in the last 6 years. It seems like EMI is just waiting Roxette to quit so they can finally stop their “miserable” promotion efforts. Even SOAP wasn’t promoted how it should have been.
Gotta be hopeful, though. A proverb in Brazil says “Hope is the last to die”.
Take care!

Not this again, please... Why is everybody so obssessed with Roxette being successful again? Please enjoy the music and be a bit understanding with Marie’s situation. Besides, the current situation of music today wouldn’t allow Roxette to be that huge again. I’d be happier with a good new album than with a successful new album. Well, I’d be happy with just a new album LOL.

Most of us would be happy with a new album even though it flops or is not recognized.
However, do you think artists like to put out albums that won’t get recognized? We have to think about what the artist, in this case, Roxette, think and aims for. I don’t think Roxette wants and aims to release albums that will be flops or not even recognized or even distributed to the shops around the world, like it happens in many countries. I high doubt that Per would be happy about just an album that is almost completely ignored out side the TDR and other Roxette fan bases.
Take care!

They don’t have to sell 10 mil of an album anymore, I am happy with them releasing an album with all new materials.

Well, you must consider they released a compilation, it’s not a brand new album. I don’t think the aim of these “Roxette Hits” was to sell a zillion copies... In addition it was the 3rd compilation in a row, so I guess Per nor Marie are suffering this “flop” after all, because it was quite obvious this CD wouldn’t sell much after all.

What i’m trying to imply is that artists, and of course with Roxette is not different, want their albums to be successful. But with no really EMI promotion ever, i mean good promotion, and with Per having to go to interviews alone, i don’t see how Roxette would fullfill, the natural hope and desire to have a successful album in most countries.
We might not care, as long as we have new music. However, the artist cares.
Take care!

IMHO, some of you care much more than the artist about it :p
Just relax, enjoy Rox, and don’t think about flops. You’ll survive without Roxette being huge again.
Cheers.
