001 December 20-ROXETTE RECEIVED MUSIC CONTROL AIRPLAY AWARD (MCAW)

EMI artist Roxette received the Music Control Airplay Award (MCAW) “Most Played Swedish Artist 2001” for the success of “The Centre of the Heart,” “Real Sugar,” and “Milk and Toast and Honey.” Roxette has surpassed all other Swedish artists when it comes to airplay listenership and even lies ahead of artists like Jennifer Lopez and Destiny’s Child. “Milk and Toast and Honey” currently holds the #2 position for the third consecutive week and to date has an audience of 384,664,000 in Sweden. “Real Sugar” reached #13 and boasts a total audience of 723,497,000. The most impressive of the three titles to date is “Centre of the Heart,” which held the #2 position for five weeks earlier this year and has a total audience of 1,3 billion. Previous recipients of the MCAW include Cher, Melanie C, Craig David and Patrik Isaksson
