ROX BOX in USA???

any word yet...or has any American ordered it and had no problems listening to it, more importantly the DVD that accompanies it being that it may not play in North American DVD players?? Just curious? Also, anywhere to get it online at the cheapest price???

Try this one:http://cgi.ebay.com/ROXETTE-THE-ROXBOX-ROXETTE-86-06-4xCD-1xDVD_W0QQitemZ320045005954QQihZ011QQcategoryZ1057QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

RoxBox can be pre-ordered from Amzon.com for $88.98 with free shipping and it includes the NTSC DVD. Beware...Amazon is also selling a RoxBox with a PAL DVD. Make sure you order the correct one. Also, you can order the RoxBox from Coconuts.com for $96.98 plus shipping. It was “released” yesterday according to their site, however it is also listed as being on backorder. Again, this will include an NTSC DVD for us Americans.

Is really there a Rox Box with NTSC DVD? If yes, where it was relesead?
Maybe it was a mistake of Amazon.. ?

Cduniverse.com also lists a PAL and NTSC version. However, like Amazon, both are on backorder after the release date being pushed back about 4 times! I was expecting to have the box in my hands last week, yet I’m still waiting! I’m getting a bit impatient. I may just resort to skivhugget.com shortly, in which I was going to order from originally. Since then, however, the price has gone up quite a bit. Have any USA fans had any luck in getting the box?

just bumping this in an attempt to see if any US fans have gotten the ROXBOX and had success in particular with the DVD videos??? Is PAL the version needed to be compatible with the US DVD players??

No, I’m afraid you folks in the US use NTSC, but you can always check to see if your TV and DVD can handle a PAL disk/image

I was going to ’bump’ this thread this morning.
Check it out on amazon.com ... it’s listed as roxbox 1981-06 or something. There’s a discussion there as far as when it will finally show up.
It seems like plenty of people have pre-ordered it. I hope they (and I) are not disappointed by a non-release on NTSC.

If you watch DVDs in your computer it will work with PAL as PAL only is the color coding. But if you use a DVD player and TV they have to be multi system.

I just checked Amazon.com again, and the NTSC RoxBox is no longer listed as “backorder” but instead it says it will ship within 3-6 weeks...just in time for a Christmas present! My advice, if you live in the States like I do don’t buy a PAL version that isn’t going to universally work on all your gear. Pay a little more and get the NTSC and enjoy it on your 32” TV and not just your 17” computer screen. By the way, Coconuts.com has dropped their price to match Amazon’s but still lists the RoxBox as “backorder.”

Thanks Thomas for answering that help when one is trying to list DVD’s on eBay! :)

I’ve seen just the CD floating around record shops in my area. My dad ordered me the box set as a gift, and I got it today. I started crying when I got it. (Im not kidding.)

I have played all Rox, Gyllene and Per’s solo DVDs including the new DVD from the Rox Box here in the US. Most of the new ones play in PAL format.

Advice: order the new DVD and just take it to the store to see which player it’ll work in that’s what I did when Roxette’s first DVD came out in 2001.

Capitol Records as far as I know is only going to release the Hits CD, I have not heard of any official release of a DVD. As far as I know there never was a plan to release the Rox Box.
