Good and bad news here...
The good news is that the new Rox single was a feature on MusicMax’s news report, they showed a piece of the One Wish video and talked a bit about Rox.
The bad news...they said it’s the first release in 4 years, after listening to One Wish, they can see why :(
Australia sucks. I’m moving back to Sweden.

It was on at like 8:30 in the morning and looked to be a short news bulletin thingy. I was at the gym and was listening to something else but I saw a piece of Madonna’s new single on the MusicMax TV and it looked interesting, and then I almost fell off the bike when they showed a brief clip of One Wish. I tuned into the station and they did some little news bits, then new singles. First Madonna, then Roxette. I was under the impression we’re not getting the single??? Someone better keep an eye on MusicMax and VideoHits to see if the clip comes on!!! God, when I was 12 I’d sit for hours to see Rox. Now I don’t have the patience I’m afraid, what with the instant internet and all!! Would be cool to see One Wish big instead of on my small computer screen tho.

A friend of mine said they saw something on E news on Arena the other day and they said something similar (or maybe it was the same news report?!) How typical is all I can say!! Back to bagging them out!

Rox_Nox: Their last release in Oz was the Ballad and Pop hits in 2002...wasn’t that four years ago? The ’problem’ is that the VJ said “we can see why”.

So they bag the song out, but no mention that Marie was extremely sick for the past 4 years and has finally come back working with Roxette and doing some promo!!
SanityDigital has OW for download, with the RoxMedley as well. Don’t know if that counts as a release though?

I just caught the ad a few minutes ago - they said “Roxette are just another band on the 80s comeback trail” and that after 4 years of no releases “they should have kept it that way” - very mean.....but at least it is coverage lol

I wish the media in Australia got to hear the more serious side of Roxette! Like what Marie has done with her solo albums and what Per has done with his last two solo albums. I think they would see them differently. Let’s face it OW is a really light weight song (I do like it though) and the media here were bound to hassle it!

If another band did One Wish they’d probably think it was cool. Unfortunately Roxette are one of those bands that are so uncool that it doesn’t matter what they do.

LOL @ Rox-kurlisomething, that’s true, I’ve always been happy Rox aren’t the biggest band in the world. When me & my friends were doing the Äntligen tour we always said to each other how glad we were that we’re not Madonna fans, cos you could never even get tickets to her show let alone meet her all the time like we did with Marie! Still, I wish they were a LITTLE popular in Australia, at least I could see them on TV, hear them on the radio and find them in magazines like when I lived in Sweden. I miss that!

Well for a few years there they were one of the biggest bands in Australia unfortunately that didn’t last long :( I do wish that they had kept up some popularity here, I mean it really died in the ass after 1995!
I used to get down when I heard bad comments about them especially Marie but now I could care less. I might be a little disappointed for about 5 sec but I get over it quick. I don’t need some journalist to validate how good they are!
