Now that the Unplugged is back on the spotlight...

What do they (silently) say right before Joyride??
ernes said on October 24, 2006 09:11:
Yes I have some :( what’s happening with every DVD release rox, per, marie related EMI makes??
The videos image quality is crap :(
coyboyusa said on October 24, 2006 15:42:
the quality of the bonus material from unplugged i didnt expect to be excellent quality since they werent meant to be on the broadcast and correctme if i am wrong the whole show was plagued with technical difficulties
whateveriam said on October 24, 2006 15:46:
I have an MP3 copy, and I’m not too sure either. I’ll listen again, and see if I can get anything, but if it’s Swedish I’m stuffed!

Don’t tell me the one thing I bought the box for is crap!!!!!!!!
animalkingdom said on October 24, 2006 19:39:
Oh no, I LOVE the box! Reading the booklet while listening to the songs is absolutely great! (Though I was very much against the box when the tracklist was published). The DVD does click a few times but it’s alright.
But no, I don’t know what they say before Joyride.
tevensso (moderator) said on October 24, 2006 20:21:
No the box is nice, the videos are of normal “EMI quality” though.
rox-kuryliw said on October 24, 2006 20:52:
does anyone know how to get the mp3 version of the songs yet off the dvd, I know they is a way, im hot on the tail lol. just would be good to listern to it on the bus :)
TheRain1981 said on October 24, 2006 22:23:
As for getting the audio from the DVD you’ll need an DVD audio ripping (or capturing) program. Do an Internet search for “DVD Audio Ripper” or something along those lines. You should get some good results. www.download.com is a nice site as well for software like that.
Too bad about the MTV Unplugged quality though. I’m not surprised. I guess I’ll see how bad it really is when I get my copy of the box in a few days time.
AbominableSnowman said on October 25, 2006 00:07:
Can anyone make some audio snippets of FLAF and SMT?? It´s going to take a couple of months until I save enough money for the roxbox...
Full mp3s of the unaired songs are welcome in my email hehehehe ;)
Rox_Nox2003 said on October 25, 2006 00:44:
I never minded about quality I had it videotaped many years ago and I don’t mind seeing its old time vhs quality so why should I be so demanding with it now?
Whatever they have said it must have been in swedish but how important can that be?
What about the performances? The songs performed? Isn’t that what makes this Unplugged show worth watching over and over again... For me it is!

You can download some off Roxbytes, but you’ll have to convert them, and it’s only 14 songs. Theres a bit torrent as well, and that has 16 songs, but PD is mangled
EDIT -Oh yeah and COYH skips...
coyboyusa said on October 25, 2006 21:47:
use total recorder it records everything off you’r sound card or audacity, i was disappointed they could have made a cd of the unplugged songs for the box and left out the old hits imo

why should we mind about the quality? because we are paying/gonna pay for that. And making a good quality DVD costs practically the same as doing a bad quality one, also it’s about the image of an important band and brand.
And if matters to me what’s being said before Joyride, it’s important.... at least more important than knowing about Anders’ wife...
ncurran said on October 25, 2006 22:47:
Really they should have improved the quality of both the unplugged performance and the videos for this release. I’m not surprised that they never bothered though. That wouldve cost money

It’s fairly true, but I remind you that I was just speaking on my own terms, as fan and not as let’s say music executive that is clearly concerned about certain small details. I have never personally been borthered with those kind of aspects that’s all. Furthermore I am not a quality DVD expect and I don’t intend to be one ... so it does not play a big role for me!

LOL totally agree on that one! LOL After all I thought everybody was so much desperate to have Anders back on the team, cause he plays bass wonderfully that now it even goes deep to talk about his wife. Ummm I thought this was a Roxette fan site and not a Ander and relatives one. LOL

I watched the Unplugged yesterday on my 82 cm TV and must say: The quality is fine for my eyes!
Sharp picture, natural colors, good sound. A huge difference to my old VHS recording. Nothing to complain about imho!
Aren’t the SMT and FLAF performances great? Love it! Hey Marie & Per, how about an intimate acoustic tour one of these years? No jumping around, no icehockey arenas, just you + the music + the fans! :-)
Rox_Nox2003 said on October 26, 2006 17:02:
If the fans appreciate such idea ... now everything became a reason for complaning! I wouldn’t mind at all being on a acoustic set with a couple of fans who are there for one reason: the music!
Kiwein1 said on October 26, 2006 18:53:
Sascha: That would be a dream come true! Marie and Per doing acoustic concerts. Just a piano, a guitar and the two of them!!
ally77 said on October 26, 2006 20:26:
I have it on now... was sat here thinking there is sod all on TV!!!!!!!!!!
I know... UNPLUGGED... just seconds into it and I am thinking WOW I forgot how good this show was.... am drooling over everyone in the band! :)
coyboyusa said on October 26, 2006 22:25:
it looks so much better than the crappy friggin video tape i have the sound the look its just god it’s like it’s 1993 again and i am ripping open a package from my friend from alabama skipping all the stupid tv shows on the tape to get to unplugged, the box was so worth it
whateveriam said on October 26, 2006 22:26:

Yeah, I know. I want to start taking bets on how much they speeded up global warming between them...

THIS could be THE reason, that could talk me into going to a concert! :D
ally77 said on October 27, 2006 12:13:
Would be fantastic if they did some unplugged kind of shows around the world for people.... no rush, no jumping around, just sitting there singing to us in small places.... heaven!
Hotblooded said on October 28, 2006 00:03:
That would be unbelievable!!! I do wonder how Marie will go with remembering lyrics after the illness and whether that could be a reason they don’t want to tour anymore.
Rox_Nox2003 said on October 28, 2006 05:47:
Acoustic sets that is actually quite a tradition for all time bands and aftet 20 years it seems also reasonable and not very surprising if Roxette started doing that as well. But you know Per and Marie they have always been very stubborn with their taste in music and how they feel it should be presented. So in the end we’ll never know. If MTV unplugged was possible so can anything be possible
Zargo said on November 2, 2006 16:14:
Nice to see unplugged again... Only ever seen it once, and it was a pretty crappy AVI file.
The picture quality look’s pretty nice to me, certainly better than VHS anyway.
tevensso (moderator) said on October 24, 2006 07:22:
I haven’t checked that yet, only watched the bonus tracks. Does anyone have as much audio clicks as me?
