Live-ism

I know the subject is kinda out of date, but I still wonder... I’m sure Live-ism is not available on DVD, but I don’t know about VHS. I just want to ask if anyone knows a place where I can download the concert. If it’s still selling somewhere, just ignore me... I don’t want to enter in legal battles. The fact is that the concert in Sydney was the first (and I think the only one) I’ve seen in my country and has a very special emotional meaning to me. And the VHS on which I recorded it is in awful conditions. Thanks for the help.

Live-ism has been released on DVD. It´s a brasilian release. Looks like a bootleg, but I think it´s official, because I bought it at a big german warehouse and also saw it in some other shops with a good reputation. Don´t know why this release made its way to Europe. Perhaps you´re lucky an can buy it via internet.

These releases are at best semi-official. The same thing happened to the old Phil Collins VHS No Ticket Required, that was released in Brazil. It is as far as I know *not* a proper release, but probably some loophole in copyright laws. You will also probably see that the quality is only so and so, because it is simply a transfer from VHS and not a transfer from proper master reels. It surfaces every now and then on e-bay.

I have the DVD version from Brazil, it’s not a bad copy!

I just checked and there are lots of VHS’s, but it seems to me that’s this format has no present (and no future either). Most of the brazilian sites said that the DVD is out of stock, but one may still hope for an official release.

Alcibiades, the Brasilian DVD was not transferred from VHS, but from Japanese laser disc. In the backstage, B&W scenes you can see the Japanese subtitles (that’s typical in JP LD). The quality is not bad. I have it, and doesn’t look like a bootleg. It was sealed when I bought it (I have never seen a bootleg factory sealed before). So, I think it was licensed to the factory that is stated in the back-sleeve of the DVD.

Just read most of the previous discussions on this theme, and I realised that all of the websites (from where the other fans bought the DVD) do not have it now. It’s surely because of all these years that have passed...

Live-ism VHS is a shame. Don’t bother getting it.

Marie had real trouble hitting the notes. I don’t know why they didn’t pick a better concert to release on video. I am glad it’s out of print because it does not show Marie’s true talents. I showed it to my friends once and they told me that girl can’t sing live based on what they see. But in fact, Marie is a great live singer, based on the Antilgen live DVD I have.

Yeah her voice sounds so dry in that show

Marie didn’t really sing well on ANY concert of the Joyride tour - that I saw. I think she was smoking way too much and her voice lacked its true potential.

If that girl still wants a copy of Live-Ism - mail me at [email protected] - I can post you a copy. BTW the Brazilian release is NOT official. Roxette has only released it on VHS and it’s out of print.

BTW - I think Marie’s voice got a lot better on the CBB world Tour. Just listen to her singing “Spending My Time” on the Johannesburg concert.

I thought it was a great concert. And Marie’s voice sounded fine, considering she’s bouncing up and down the stage for 2 hrs and I believe the Australian concerts were towards the end of the tour.

I’ve said it before, but we need a DVD release of this and CBL! maybe Per will get the message oneday...

Hey, I want that concert and I’m not a girl! Should I e-mail you, anyway:)))

I’m gay, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a girl or a boy. Mail me anyway if you want a copy.

lol its amazing how perople on here critcizes how peoplek sound during a concert, those australia sowhes were the lasat of the tour, after nealy a year of non stop interviews and singing in all kinds of environments I’d love to hear how any of your voices sound lol jesus you people need to get out more

Yeah, it seems that Roxette fans tend to critisize a lot, but it’s always “just an opinion”... and I think that in the end we all love Roxette.

@ CoyRoy: I’ve e-mailed you. Thanx for your help
