better off is a little bit different, but not much.. it’s different recording days...
bla bla bla has different reording day, but I have not heard any difference yet
GT_85 said on October 18, 2006 12:25:
The recording days can very well be a missprint, you know, it’s a EMI release.
bevi said on October 18, 2006 12:29:
@harplingeboy: where are u from? where did you buy it? through internet?
thomasc said on October 18, 2006 12:30:
Can you do some scans? Would love to see it.
I ordered mine from CDON ages ago....mine might be at home waiting for me! :-)
chrisjankunas said on October 18, 2006 12:31:
Is Always breaking my heart the same version as before???
How about ’One WIsh’ and ’Reveal’ are the versions really 3:30 for OW and 4:00 for Reveal or was that an error too ?
thomasc - Many in the UK that I know are still waiting for there’s to even ship let alone arrive :S
Harplingeboy said on October 18, 2006 12:38:

Santi said on October 18, 2006 12:46:
I guess you mean 727 demo, since 747 is the song by Kent, the one of the plane crash! :D
Anyway, I got that one demo in some CD single, time ago...
bevi said on October 18, 2006 12:47:
@harplingeboy:nice to meet you then! i´m from Spain and here we don´t have the RB yet!
Harplingeboy said on October 18, 2006 16:43:

Just showing Ready For Delivery on the CDON site still... been like that 3 days! grrrrrrrrrr
alcibiades said on October 19, 2006 05:36:
There are several differences in the Demos of Bla Bla Bla and Better Off, albeit minor. Also, the demo to All I Ever Wanted is different - new drums and stuff. I liked the old versions of all 3 tracks better.
Reveal is the same version as the download version. The reported 4.00 is not true. I have a 4.00 mix, but I made that myself ...
Myth is totally dissapointing to me, but had the mp3 for some weeks, so I knew that. Worst Rox song released in years imo. Don’t really like One Wish either, but Reveal is wonderfull, and Anyone / ILHYLM is really interesting.
Highlights for me are Always Breaking My Heart - because I didn’t have this track - and the MTV show, which is amazing - the bonus tracks will totally blow you away.
Dissapointed that Demos for Always The Last To Know, I Do Believe, Remember, Bad Moon, Stay, Crazy About You and Do You Wanna Go With Me didn’t make the box.
bevi said on October 19, 2006 08:55:
@Harplingeboy : maybe this week or the next one.. shops don´t have a clue! ;-)
so you like the RBox?
tq83 said on October 19, 2006 09:16:
well bla bla, better off on her own the versions released on singles were obviously the completed versions and the ones on the rox box are the demos as marie does not sing on them... also the drums on bla bla are a bit different as well..
i defintly prefer the versions released years ago.. new ones are not that gud.. i feel sorri for people who are having a “introduction” to roxette have to listen to those unfinished versions of really nice songs :(
Santi said on October 19, 2006 09:30:
I wouldn’t spend over 60 euros for an introduction to any band!
Boxes are for fans! Whoever says otherwise in this digital-downloadable-world of today is dreaming or out of touch with reality...
tevensso (moderator) said on October 19, 2006 09:58:
Still no box... Got the CDs today though, after CDON messing up.
Max-Tob said on October 19, 2006 10:46:
Santi: I didnt buy the box either. Just the cds. And I am somehow glad I didnt. I am still not convinced about it not even now, when seeing how thrilled you people are. Dunno if it’s about money, maybe it’s more a principle thing.
freddyhardest said on October 19, 2006 12:54:
I have asked an employee of El Corte Inglés (a mayor shopping center in Spain), today when it was to be released the Rox box, and she said they wouln´t bring it at least until December !!
I hope she was wrong.
cocos92 said on October 19, 2006 13:18:
Yes, let´s hope so, I ordered mine last monday, the employee had a look at the computer and showed me they were about to arive...
rox-kuryliw said on October 19, 2006 14:48:
alcibiades you made a mix of ’Reveal’ I would love tyo hear it, i like to hear fan mixes of new songs. :-D
Ill get the rox box if price drops, i dont think anything rare enough for hardcore fans (or me) to be honest. i agree Box sets are ment for hardcord fans not an introduction to roxette. Introductions are for past albums re-released.
Harplingeboy said on October 19, 2006 15:06:
@bevi: well yeah : D
ofscourse there should’ ve been more rarities and “real” rarities, but i still like the box and I really like OW ! ;)
alcibiades said on October 19, 2006 16:39:
rox-kuryliw > It’s not really a new mix, I just extended the intro over a few more bars. So nothing really exceptional - but sure I can upload it if you like the song.

I’ve not even had mine through yet from CDON :-( Am really annoyed. I wanted to listen and enjoy it over the weekend.
Well, “here comes the weekend, and I’m on my own again” ALL THANKS TO CDON!!!!!
tevensso (moderator) said on October 20, 2006 18:03:
Something had hit the edge of the “book” so there’s a deep dent there. Looks like a steel rod. CDON will of course exchange it, but how does that help my weekend?
ernes said on October 20, 2006 19:24:
Great to see they made a double side DVD. I was afraid of what I was going to find (in quality) on this DVD.
Happy to have bought it.
Must say that I find the music played in the videos part menu a bit sad, it has a feeling of “this is the end”. I love it, I think it is a great choice.
kashee said on October 26, 2006 09:46:
Got mines yesterday in the UK. Initial thoughts, love the booklet. The main selling point for me was the MTV Unplugged DVD which is fab and has excellant sound quality (compared to the Hits DVD).
The sound quality of the non-hit album songs appears to be better than the previous album releases, seems to be remastered.
The 2 new songs are nice but not as good as those which were added to previous hit albums e.g. thing about you, breathe, opportunity nox, june afternoon etc.
I now realise how many demo/unreleased songs I never had in CD format and now very happy that I bought the RoxBox despite early slight disappointment.
Ripped all the songs into 320kbps VBR and right now listening to them on my Nokia N91 at work :))

Everybody complains first, but then no one can avoid not wanting to get hold of the polemic RoxBox ... LOL Enjoy it!
