record stores in London

I’m gonna be in London for a few days the beginning of Nov. and was wondering if anyone could help me out with some good record stores apart from Virgin and HMV. Also where should I be buying the new releases from (and what should I be spending). I realize I can probably get a better deal ordering online..but if in fact it will be the last release, I want to buy it in the stores.

I understand there is a very large second hand music shop in Croydon (small trek from London), but I am not sure if you are interested in older stuff. Not sure of the name/location either. Hopefully others will be able to assist.

Our shops are in MIDDLE STREET, CROYDON, SOUTH LONDON, ENGLAND.
We are open Monday to Saturday 10am-6pm and Sunday 11am-5pm.
Hte to drop the bombshell, but it is closing after Christmas. On the plus side...sale items!
