Is she a big Pop-idol star in Germany?

Not too shabby :-O

No, I don’t think so...
She participated at the show “Germany searches the Superstar” (or whatever this show is correctly called in english), but didn’t win.
Then she was last year’s (2005) participant of the Eurovision Song Contest for Germany with the song “Run and hide”.
I don’t like that song.
And I can’t tell more about her, I’m simply not interested into her “art”...

I enjoyed her.
There are some more vids of hers on youtube. There is one where she does a cover of “Blue Velvet”... awesome pick for a song :-)
And some ballad “When the last tears been dried”

She’s basically anything but a star in Germany now! There was quite a scandal last year when they found out her producer had others buy her records in shops all over Germany, so she could make it into the German Eurovision Song Contest “Preshow” based on the position of her song in the German Single Charts. The end of the story was that her song was taken out of the charts (together with a song from Vanilla Ninja by the same producer) and that’s pretty much the last thing I heard of her...

I have to admit it’s nice to check out music that is different!

As far as her producer buying her records... that’s just business, nothing wrong with him trying to push his artist.
Germans are lucky to get such nice melodic female AOR artist.
Kind of like they were lucky in the 80’s to get Sandra.... and all we got was inferior overhyped Madonna.
