Zemia Radio

I’ve been these days setting up an online radio station which is called “Zemia Radio” on live365. Zemia means “Earth” in some Slavonic languages, and its purpose is to be a talk station and educational but also playing lots of rock and pop music in many cases in not so conventional languages, from all around the Earth (though at this point most of what’s played is either European or American).
Another user (kachina008) and I have a talk program that shows up from time to time. So far it’s the only talk program online :D
In the music playlist there’s of course Roxette and some other things. So I would like to invite you all to listen to it. Hope you like it:

Well, the Zemia Radio is still running and we have recorded a new program, we premiere it on Tuesday, 5th Dec. at 17.00 GMT (that is 18.00 CET for Europeans and 12 -noon- ET for Americans). The program will be rebroadcasted on Friday at 09.00 GMT (10.00 CET & 4 am ET) and the following Tuesday.
The program is called Music In Space and it’s a special 2 hours show in which we play music from a given place and talk and tell about the musicians we’re listening to.
In this very first program of the series we will be hearing music from Manchester, UK. Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Smiths, The Hollies, Joy Division, James... All that music together with comments on the artists that created it.

Registration is required if you’re a recurring listener, but it is free and I don’t receive any junk mail (so I’m guessing they don’t sell the addresses). Besides it enables you to listen thousands of radio stations online on the Live365 Network, nearly one per mood :D (Though I hope you stick to Zemia Radio, obviously :P)

We are going to record a new talk show that deals with the burka ban proposed in The Netherlands. As this is very much an opinion driven issue, we would like to have people talking on the program, if that were possible.
We record using Skype, so anyone that can use Skype is welcome to share their comments with us. If you can not use Skype you can always send us some e-mail telling what you think, to [email protected] . Contact us also on that e-mail address if you wish to take part in the program :P

Going back to the subject, I think that the show is very interesting. It makes a whole and complete trip through Manchester music. There are all kinds of stiles, and I think it’s always nice listening to music that maybe we don’t know. There’s more to life than Roxette :p
