@Room Service: You really hate collectors don’t you?!
Most promos that are sold on market places here and there are not the copies the radio stations get. Also record stores and news papers (and a lot of private people it seems) are getting promos sent out to them.
And if it now should be a copy from a radio station I seriously doubt that radio station would play it in the first place.

I don’t hate anybody. I have some promos, but I got them a long time after they were released. I have 2 reasons:
A) I don’t see the point in getting them for a lot of money. I work very hard and it not easy to get my own money, and I am not going to feed those sellers. They get like 100 euros giving away a CD they got from someone for free. If you wait some months, you’d be able to get the same CD for a 50% (or even less) of the current price. It has happened before, many times. For example, I paid 8 dollars for the Brazilian promo of M&T&H. I didn’t pay much for the Mexican version either. Both unplayed.
B) I prefer those CD’s being played in the radio, that’s what we need. If not, the single will be ignored as most of the latest Roxette singles. We don’t need another flop. The same applies to other things. Just imagine EMI doing some investment (dream on) and printing some nice, huge ads/banners to put them in streets, announcing the forthcoming Roxette releases. And 2 hours later, a bunch of selfish fans got all the ads from the walls, to bring them to home. All the promotional campaign ruined. Sadly, that’s what always happens.
If you want the promo, that’s ok. But give them a chance of being played!

@room service:
A) I agree that people are paying really ridiculous prices for records. I am the first to stand up and agree to that. I myself usually don’t pay more than what you gave example on here and I have quite a big collection (also with rare stuff). But I also think that if people now are that stupid.. well, then let them. As long as I don’t have to pay the money they do.
B) The radio stations that are actually interested in playing Roxette will NOT give away their promos. That is for sure. And as I said in my last reply... also record stores and magazines are getting promos and all of those are not interested in Roxette. So your theory that Roxette is played less on the radio because collectors are buying promos I think is very far fetched. It doesn’t work like that.

Very nice if you collect! I am sure someone will love to have that!

As I said before, promos like this are meant to be played in the radio. I hope not many promos are going to private collections, because that’s not their aim. Then, people says Roxette doesn’t got any airplay, but what about all those promos gathering dust in anyone’s houses?
