Just looking at wiki and someone has put that Roxette will release “One Wish” in the USA in December and “Reveal” will be released as a single somtime in January. I know anyone can edit wiki pages but does anyone know anything about this???
It would explain the IMHBL - xmas bsides theme.

ive just had to edit the chart positions for milk and toast and a thing about you as it claimed they charted when they didnt.....
LittleSpooky said on September 13, 2006 19:27:
I’m not holding my breath on that. I’ve heard that in the past one too many times.
meradi said on September 13, 2006 21:00:
Now the single-tracklisting of One Wish surely would make sense for a December release, wouldn’t it?
Not holding my breath here though.
Even a McDonald’s promo release is better than nothing. What was the last single here anyway? Crash Boom Bang? I remember that one was hard to find and only on cassette!

I think that very same day Gyllene Tider releases the English version of “Fin Fem Fel” in Guatemala, with a Spanish version of “Jag borde förstås vetat bättre” :P :D
meradi said on September 13, 2006 21:10:
Santi - does that mean something like ’i should have known better?’ If so, funny!
tomos85 said on September 13, 2006 21:19:
@Santi
How would lyrics of Spanish version of “JBFVB” go? ;)
Santi said on September 13, 2006 21:21:
I’m guessing we’re hiring Escolar (which by the way, can mean in Spanish “school boy”) for this job.
You want the Spanish lyrics or do I dive straight into the English translation of them? :D
Santi said on September 13, 2006 21:23:
PD. I think we may be hijacking the thread and someone’s gonna be upset with me, so if I happen to feel like Escolar, i’ll open another thread, so that you can discuss further how unlikely is to have the singles for Xmas presents in here ;)

this would be great only because they could actually spend more than 2 weeks promoting staeside and maybe just maybe they’d come to new york :)

@ Santi: You are correct, and thank you for your attempt to follow the rules. To others: Please visit the TDR discussions section, and read the list of rules that we are working on. Your input is requested... as we’d like to come to some agreement... so that SmallTalk participants themselves can, as Santi did, try to abide by them. Thank you all.

Alright, I’ll read ’em again...I’ve forgotten half of them already!

Actually, One Wish would probably do better in the warmer season than winter. I think too many people will be hibernating once that single is released here(USA). But, you just never know. I think music is seasonal essential in a way. It just seems most bands–POP ROCK–that is, will release a ballad in the colder seasons. But if you live over seas then you release a single whenever co’s it’s so bloody cold over there!!!
Room_service said on September 15, 2006 03:58:
If it gets released in the USA, the single has many chances to chart in Disneyland (if they have a chart). Otherwise, I am sure Billboard will ignore this song (like any other chart in the world, hehe).
meradi said on September 15, 2006 20:50:
Now that I’ve been thinking about it, a November release of One Wish would be super in the US. While it is a summery sounding song, the title relates to Christmas in a little way, and if they throw on the Christmas version of It must have been love, and Turn to me, I’d imagine that would be good timing for the Christmas spending season here.
Anyway, you wish for green summer leaves when it’s cold out!
LittleSpooky said on September 16, 2006 03:26:
I dunno if it will be released State-side... but all I can say is:
GIMME GIMME GIMME!!! And
OOOOOO OOOOO OOOOOO!!!!
Been a long time since I’ve been this excited about music.
And if coy’s thoughts are correct (wild dream, I know), I’d have to find a way to torture LEO in NY ;o)
striker1700 said on September 16, 2006 06:36:
Being as Roxette don’t even have an official label here in the States I think we will be waiting quite some time for any kind of release (if at all). First we’ll have to hear about a solidified deal I suppose it will be here on TDR first. As far as any b-sides to OW I’m not sure if it even matters..who buys singles anymore? Younger teenagers? Aren’t they the ones who are responsible for the huge increase in downloads? If that’s the case wouldn’t they be just downloading the individual song?
LittleSpooky said on September 16, 2006 18:20:
Striker: I’m of the belief that it won’t be released in the States unless via Import.
I’m just trying to torture LEO is all ;o)

So it really looks like we here will the US will get the releases after all!!
Some good news after a long long long time!!! Cool!
Take care!

they should be advertising WICF and ATAY on US radio instead. if they play OW on US radio, its only gonna flop the hits album.
Room_service said on September 19, 2006 04:13:
I agree with bunny. IMHBL got an award after being played 4 million times in the US radios. LYTH got a prize too. And then... One Wish. People there remembers Roxette through their big ballads! It will ruin the image of Roxette (if they still have one) in the US.
coyboyusa said on September 19, 2006 13:29:
what they actually should do is use the new contract to push the 2 albums we never got here as a deluxe package ...rs and hand......then promote one wish and reveal as a double a side so raidio can choose....only because they don’t play much 80’s sounding music here anymore
bunny said on September 19, 2006 13:40:
ATAY and Breath are songs that deserve to be on a hits album like Ballad Hits, the 2 new songs just don’t belong on a hits album. Reveal sounds like a B-side production. I still love Roxette. I hope if they release another full album in the future, they would pick the right songs to be singles, and arrange their songs closer to the sounds of the HAND album - that is the only way they can win the hearts of people who have forgotten about roxette. WICF could have been top 10 in the US (easy), it’s simply a lack of promotion.
I certainly hope that they are saving the “good” stuff for the next *full* album.

Rox Kury-liw....i have the Guinness Book Of British Hit Singles which lists all singles from 1952-2005 that charted inside the official UK top 75.on wikipedia it claimed that both milk and toast and a thing about you had charted inside the UK top 75.This is not true so i had to edit it.the last single(apart from Fading Like A Flower) to chart inside the UK top 75 was Stars in October 1999 when it reached #56 for 1 week.
Wicf said on September 13, 2006 19:17:
I wouldn’t trust wikipedia at all... There are some wrong informations (chart positions etc) and the article itself is too US and UK-centric... But it’d be nice if OW was released in US
