what was the first roxette demo u heard?
Room_service said on September 15, 2006 07:16:
The first single I got that included a demo was “Sleeping In My Car”, so it was my first demo too. I see it was the first demo for many others too, according to what I have read above!

Almost Unreal I think - did I get a shock when Per started to sing heh heh heh.

I’m sorry, still it’s better for me than the orginal version :-)
ally77 said on September 13, 2006 13:56:
first demo... it was One Is Such A Lonely number, when I bought the CD single in HMV one day.... I was so in love with that song... I still am I guess!
Krischan said on September 13, 2006 14:03:
Almost the same here - “One is such a lonely number” on the “Big L.” single. Before that I was completely unaware of what a demo is.
rox-kuryliw said on September 13, 2006 14:05:
one is such a lonely number, I really cant understand what the big deal is with demo’s and roxette fans lol ? i cant stand them.
Sascha said on September 13, 2006 14:16:
Think it was CBBYL on the COYH single. Haven’t heard that for ages!

Love Spin and others form the bootleg “Sweet as a nut” ... or something like that...
Santi said on September 13, 2006 19:37:
It’s just incredible how people remember exactly which one they heard first :|
My reply is simply: I can’t remember it! :s
ally77 said on September 13, 2006 19:48:
I only remember it so well because at the time I was on work experience in a nursery and my father was giving me lifts to work everyday.... I played OISALN all the time, there and back for 2 weeks! lol Think is drove my dad potty!
Starrox said on September 13, 2006 19:54:
Most likely the SIMC-demo since SIMC was the first Roxette-single I bought which had a demo on it! I even know where and when I heard it for the first time: March 11, 1994 in my father’s car which was parked somewhere next to a restaurant where we had dinner to celebrate my grandfather’s birthday. *g*
(I had bought the single on the way there and couldn’t listen to it until after dinner: pure torture!)
Santi said on September 13, 2006 19:57:
Oh yes, then mine had to be Seduce me, because that’s the first single I bought. But I wouldn’t bet :D
n-Somnia said on September 13, 2006 22:52:
It was either SIMC, or Seduce Me. Can’t remember what order I bought the singles I have.
gyllene_tjej said on September 13, 2006 23:03:
@Santi, you’re not the only one not remebering. It’s a damn good question...Back then it was quite hard to gwt hold of singles here...so I believe it was when I went to France and got the Vulnerable single there (of all the places it was Paris Virgin megastore that had that one). so what songs could it have been...I’m sorry, The sweet hello, Vulnerable? Not sure of the trackilst ( no single around)...someone might have a look at the single and correct me :o)
ditroia said on September 15, 2006 06:21:
The two on the June Afternoon single. was a long time rox fan but didn’t buy singles much at the time.
Dave
Come to think of it it could have been ’the voice’ on the look sharp live video or ’silver blue’.
RobS said on September 15, 2006 07:26:
Would’ve been Don’t believe in accidents, followed by Crash! Boom! Bang!, then Almost Unreal.
From the Run To You single, the first CD single i bought actually.
Claire said on September 15, 2006 08:10:
It prob was OISALNumber on the Big L cassette lol. its a fab song. am i wrong in thinking that silver blue is classed as a demo on The Look 7”? if it is then that is my first demo and still my no.1 Rox song.
brentnewtown said on September 16, 2006 08:36:
One is such a lonely number from the big l. cd single.
Regarding silver blue, is there a proper version of this song or just the demo? from what i remember the demo sounds nothing like a demo version. was sliver blue (demo) b side on the look?
edit: and the version on tourism was only slightly different.
lan98035 said on September 16, 2006 08:45:
From the CD-single The Look 1363332 - Silver Blue (Demo Version)/Sleeping Single (Demo Version). I remember i really liked the Sleeping Single demo back then.
fridapeeples said on September 17, 2006 00:08:
mine was also “One Is Such A Lonely Number”
I don’t think I’d even seen a CD single before. When I went into the record store I almost went into cardiac arrest when I was flipping through the “R-various” titles and came across this and “Spending My Time” UK CD singles at the same time
RJ1976 said on September 17, 2006 00:14:
There are 2 different Silver Blues... A Demo and A B side :S
coyboyusa said on September 17, 2006 18:27:
hmm thats a good question heheh it was actually dont believe in accidents which my dear fried from alabama put on a casette for me....god i miss her
Max-Tob said on September 17, 2006 19:32:
ehm...it must be “One is Such...”.
I think that rox fans have a thing with demos mostly because they are usually sung by a different person than that singing on the album...so one expects some notable differences (reeeaaally notable) between the final version and the demo! how about that?
darkhamster said on September 17, 2006 20:44:
One Is Such A Lonely Number - track 16 on a Polish pirate “Joyride” MC back in 1991..;)
tq83 said on September 13, 2006 12:52:
i remeber it was in 1995 i think... i saw a single for fireworks in the shop.. i even asked them whats a demo.. is it different to the normal song an they told me it was so i bought the single just to hear haha... it was the rain that was the first demo of roxette i ever heard :)
