Hi I'm New- can i say some things?

I love roxette, but i also love a band called HEART, who have had 16 albums and been around since 1973. but they have not got a boxset, so roxette fans are lucky. Also:
Why are we complaining about it?
*There is a WAR going on, and people dying, but we are safe in our homes complaining about the ROXBOX.
*Marie had cancer and didn’t have to come back to roxette, but she did, because she LOVES us and music too!
*Another roxette greatest hits? well maybe DBUGTTC, POP, BALLAD hits cds were released because the RECORD COMPANIES forced Roxette to release them because the record companies wanted more money out of roxette’s music, but the ROXBOX and this GH20 cd is just 100% Per and Marie’s idea!
*Most people here already have these demos from the roxbox in their collections. But where did we get these demos from? did we get them from albums OFFICIALLY released by Per and Marie? NO, we cheated and got them Illegally- we should be in prison by now because of copyright infringements!- PER doesn’t know which demos and rare songs we have in our roxette cd collections, so it isn’t his fault about which demos he chose to go in the roxbox
*Per wasn’t rude in his letter! This is his career, he has worked hard all these years touring, albums! music careers are like babies, and Per is a father too, so in a way ROXETTE is important to per, and we insult Per!
*Per probably never released MONSTER HANGOVER because it was such a WONDERFUL song, that he will release it on a future NEW ROXETTE STUDIO ALBUM. who knows?
*People have feelings, what have our opinions done to PER and Marie- right now? have we killed their confidence? have we made them sad or cry? are they going to split up now because of us?
I Love roxette, i’m looking forward to the ROXBOX, i dont have any rare demos, this is the best!
Please, there are some people here going through a bad life, and need this message board to keep happy! all this negativety is evil and sick! NO one needs this! we are all human and equal!
I love to meet more nice people here to talk to!

I am happy Roxette are still going, and I too have wondered if some songs have been kept back for a possible new album later on....who knows?
I actually thought that The Ballad & Pop Hits collections would have been the last of what we would hear of Roxette. So these new releases are a bonus (to me anyway)
It has taken me 4 years to come back to write comments on this site, because of all the negativity about the Ballad and Pop Hits releases - and I’m not saying that people aren’t entitled to their opinions.
However this is the last comment i’m posting on here, I’m so tired of all the negativity.
I think TDR does a great job in bringing us the latest news, I’ll continue to visit TDR for news items and that’s it.
Apart from that I have my Roxette, Per Gessle and Marie Fredriksson collections that have taken me now 16 years to collect, I’m happy with my collection I have grown up with Roxette’s music and play Roxette almost everyday. At the end of the day that’s whats important to me.
If Per or Marie happens to read this thank you for your music, at least it has given me in my case the ability to look back and remember your songs that were released when i was a child, then a teenager and now a young man. I still listen to these songs nearly every day and now look back and can remember what I was doing that particular year/period.
My parents are the same when they hear an old song on the radio for example the bee-gees
I suspect with today’s current top 40 crap that my kids will not be able to say the same thing.

So what you’re saying is that it’s wrong to complain about anything unless you’re in a war?

Well, she’s recorded about ten time as many songs solo than for Roxette since she recovered so does she love the fans of her solo work ten times as much as Roxette fans?
Of course not. It’s fantastic that she recovered, but to be fair, recording two new songs can’t be such of a big deal since she managed to record two whole solo albums.
Also, according to herself she’s 100% ok now, so it’s really not odd if she wants to get back to her career.

All of them had more new tracks than the new greatest hits so if this is the case I prefer the record companies forcing them...

So of them come from bootlegs and some of them from official releases so you’re wrong about this one.

To be fair, he shouldn’t have mentioned songs that he said would be in the box and then not include them. I’d say it’s a tie situation since he insulted the fans by lying to us.

Just because we’re fans of a group doesn’t mean that we’re not allowed to have opinions.
If they release stuff we’re not willing, or cannot afford, to buy, then yes, they’ll most likely split up.

It’s great the she recovered. We already know that she’s 100% healthy again. She’s recorded two albums since the recovery.
What’s her illness/recovery got to do with the box?

They could’ve released a greatest hits with no new material whatsoever (like GT25 or the latest Black Sabbath greatest hits).
This is what wikipedia has to say about that one:

The complaints about the box set are somewhat similar to the compaints about that greatest hits. Many people feel cheated about the lack of new (or at least unused or rare) material.
As stated after the tracklist was revealed the box set is aimed to casual fans and not the more serious fans.
The question is if the casual fans are willing to pay that kinda money for the box set or not?
(Also I’d like to add that I’m among those who were pleased with TBH/TPH since we got 12 new songs.)
Edit: It’s common courtesy on the Internet to not use CAPS LOCK since it’s considered yelling.

And the two first ones before Marie’s illness. So fans should have the right to complain, right?
Please BebeLeStrange, don’t take this as harsh criticism. You said what you thought about people’s comments, and other people did the same with your own. This is how a forum works. And honestly, I don’t know what war has to do with the Rox-Box.

Roxette have been promising a RoxBox since the Joyride times, if I remember correctly. And waiting so long for it to finally arrive, and seeing the DISAPPOINTING tracklist, it’s only natural that most fans will freak out and be angry. I too am compelled by anger not to buy it, but I WILL buy it as I love Roxette and I will always support them.
If Per and Marie see our interest in them still, then we can convince them to make a new album for 2007, 2009 and for many years to come!!!
I will buy the RoxBox, because of my love for Roxette, and not because I like what’s in it!

Yeah a lot of people overreacted majorly to the Roxbox, and some even made fools of themselves and the whole board in front of Per. But you can’t tell fans not to be upset about something they looked forward to for so long and were disappointed by. Everyone had a right to be upset, some people just maybe need to control their reactions a bit (maybe even including Per!)
Bebe: Caps is generally seen in the internet world to be shouting. When you write a post in all caps, especially something emotional as you are writing, it looks like you are screaming at the board and people will take offence to that. Just to let you know.
