The box can now be preordered from Ginza.
IMO the price is insane - 689 SEK.

(About $95 US or EUR 75.)

Good luck selling it for that price...

I’m going to sell a few things on Ebay I think to raise the money, because I want to buy the Greatest Hits versions, and CD Single.

Please note I will not be selling any of my Roxette or related collection - just don’t want anyone contacting me asking if I will be selling any of my Roxette stuff which has taken me years to collect.

Yeah, the Enigma boxset costs 100 SEK more, but it’s got two more CD’s and one more DVD (6 CD/2 DVD compared to 4 CD/1 DVD)

it´s funny, it used to be the only thing i thought of, now it has become something so negative. how can a beautiful thing turn into something so ugly? per, i have one wish, change the tracklisting and you will get all the money i´ll ever earn in my lifetime. seriously, i´d give it all away for the tracklisting we were all dreaming about. and coy... damn it! i´m whimpering again...

Also you have to think about the fact that her box made the other albums obsolete (well, except for the live DVD/CD-package) and this is just an addition to the collection even though you’ve got most of it already.

I wonder how many non-hardcore fans are willing to pay this kinda money for an introduction to Roxette (since those are the target audience)?

Total price is 759, slightly more than the box. But you’ll get more (and better songs) But no Unplugged. So for a person who wants to be “introduced” to Roxette, I don’t know what’s best. Box or (almost) all releases.

Even if they did, couldn’t you just tell them no...??

$130...that is pretty expensive, wonder how much it will be in Australia? Sweden is a LOT more expensive than OZ. It might be pricey the first few months, but as it won’t be very popular it’ll probably drop quite fast. If Aussie fans are patient they’ll almost certainly get it for a lot less.

After reading this, I remember when the Frida’s set (former member of ABBA) was released late in 2005, a crazy fan from Vienna bought at least 4 four copies, just to have the pleasure in getting it. Haha, that was one of the reasons I quit the ABBA forum, I was tired of freaks! :-P

1. It’s a box where most of the stuff has been released earlier.

2. It’s not mostly rare gems / unreleased songs and it’s not a ’complete studio recordings’-box.
It doesn’t make any old albums obsolete so it’s just a bunch of “random good songs” put together.
Basically it’s a ’Greatest Hits (and more) Deluxe’.

3. Compared to similar boxes it’s rather expensive.

And since you ask, I had expected it to cost £35-40.
25% more than that is well, just too much for me.

I will buy it ! I also think it is much money, but c’mon it’s Roxette ! It’s something we waited for ! I waited for such a special box very much ! Even Bon Jovi released such a box with many unreleased songs and they sold many of the box.

Looking forward to open the booklet with many photos and other stuff we might did not know. I am very excited ! :-)

Yeah, that Bon Jovi-box set is a great example of what it should look like.

The first 3 CD’s got unreleased songs and the fourth CD got rare songs from soundtracks etc and the DVD is ’behind the scenes’, the band talking about the songs etc.

And it’s also much cheaper than the RoxBox :/
Edit: (I bought mine for £35.99 and it was not on sale or anything, and that was also why I expected the RoxBox to cost £35-40.)

btw, my cdon has GH20 for 159 ;) For cdon.com look out to order in campaign weeks to get cheaper prices, and get it delivered when it is released..

I don’t know what they charge(d) for delivery to Norway, but it’s the same amount for Swedes in both stores; 29 SEK.

And I suppose the price on the Norwegian CDOn is in NOK, so it’s still more expensive than Ginza.

Yeah, but you can’t really compare postage for a company that’s selling in a country and a company that exports to that country.

Anyway, CDON has lowered the price on the GH20 so they now cost the same as Ginza, but Ginza is 10 SEK cheaper on the box set.
