Well not actually, but the music is directly taken from 2 songs. One is an ad of Day’s featuring the music of I like it like that. and the other ad that I dont remember is the music from Come on.

Cool Ferdan seems to have enjoyed the Son Of The Plumber album... simple live recorded guitars and drums... nice! :)

the music used on Day’s comercial is NOT from SOAP(just similar). And about ILILT??I didn’t hear nothing about it on TV spot!

Yea... but it’s *very* simmilar. And the other commercial, is also from Days. And yes, the music is very similar to ILILT.
So we have 2 commercials, same product/campaign, each one featuring a background music that resembles a song from SOAP... isn’t that TOO much of a coincidence?
This brings 2 questions:
If the person behind the music selection is a Per/Roxette fan, why did he/she choose something “similar”, but not the real thing?
Where those songs specially composed for the commercials? If not... I’d really like to find out who’s the music writter... and when did she/he write this music... because either she/he plagied Per, or the other way arround... ;)
This is my personal opinion: There is an actual Per/Roxette fan behind the commercials. She/He couldn’t use the real thing from SOAP, because of copyrights and/or permissions and/or whatever legal and/or cost reasons. Maybe it is legal to use a song as an “inspiration”, just to write something similar as a background music for a few seconds in a commercial... so that’s what they did.

It is VERY common in tv ads to find background sounds similar to “real” songs from bands. At least in argentinian TV. Who doesn’t remember the perfume tv featuring a weird version of “How do you do?”
It doesn’t only happen with roxette related songs tho.

Well, it is not strange if you think about it: many people who nowadays have their own shops or work on tv have grown up listened to Roxette so they probably are fans. Not strange they play Roxette, Per or Marie music in their shops or on tv every time they can. It’s good since it is another way to show younger people Roxette music.
