Bravo Supershow in Hamburg

Actually it’s an anniversary and no supershow - but who cares. ;-)
Now it is confirmed. Roxette will perform in Hamburg at the Bravo anniversary show celebrating 50 years Bravo.
The show is in the Color Line Area on the 21st of October.
This is the press release:

Sorry Sascha: Couldn’t wait. ;-)
Sascha said on August 31, 2006 11:29:
Damn Kiwein! How could you? Judith, hurry up! ;-)
Btw. it’s not the normal BRAVO Supershow, this is a big live Gala to celebrate 50 years of pop/teenie culture.
Kiwein1 said on August 31, 2006 11:31:
Yeah, was too late with editing it. :-)
Well, I am sorry, but who knows how long it will take until it gets published on the front page. People need to get a chance to buy tickets IMO.
gyllene_tjej said on August 31, 2006 11:36:
coolies! Is it going to be on TV? Which channel may buy the rights to broadcast it?
Kiwein1 said on August 31, 2006 11:38:
It’s ProSieben and it’s going to be broadcasted the same evening - 9.00 pm - when I got it all right.

GREAT NEWS! They are gonna promote the new album :D Then soon we’ll see Rox back at the top...
lonely_girl said on August 31, 2006 12:04:
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! Bravo remembers Roxette... :-)
Alright, if it’s Pro7 I’m actually able to watch it for a chance ;-)
*edit* Roxette back on the top? No, honestly I doubt it!
gyllene_tjej said on August 31, 2006 12:14:
I’m not sure if I can see it somewhere, but hopefully it will turn up on the net. Nice thing to look forward to, yaay!
@lonely_girl: have your video ready! :)

Cool arena and Roxette, maybe worth a visit? :)
Can anyone guess how it will be, the show? Will they play The Look playback, or will there be a couple of songs, at least?
Roxette back on top because of this? Yea, right. But that’s what you said when Opp Nox was released as well, and I guess it’s noce with some people who still believes Roxette are on the top of the world. :)

Put it on Youtube for us and I’ll be beaming from ear to ear!
abysmo said on August 31, 2006 13:10:
If they will perform some song, I´m sure they will play One Wish. Why should they play The Look, when they have brand new sing?
whateveriam said on August 31, 2006 13:23:
... but if its being broadcast live, I suppose it would be easier
Galadriel said on August 31, 2006 13:34:
Hmmm, I am sure every artist wants to promote/play the new song(s) in a TV-show.
But with the concept of that show (50 years of Bravo) I’d put my bets better on “The Look” or “IMHBL”.
If it’ll be more than one song, the chances will rise for “One wish”. :-)
Sascha said on August 31, 2006 13:43:
Well, the gala will be 3 hours long, don’t know if it’s shortened for broadcasting. That should be enough time for 2 songs by the artists. If they play an old song I’d prefer Joyride for a change - Roxette’s biggest single in Germany.
pwbbounce (moderator) said on August 31, 2006 13:51:
i reckon it’ll be One Wish and IMHBL if there’s two songs. If just one song? One Wish
abysmo said on August 31, 2006 14:08:
It will be 99% playback. But it will be fantastic to see Marie and Per together back on the stage. Wow!
joyrider said on August 31, 2006 14:40:
Great.
In 5 h I’ll start my journey to Hamburg (for a 6 months internship in a graphic design studio) ... I’d love to be there! Please give some more details ;)
Galadriel said on August 31, 2006 14:45:
Let it be live!! ->
I’d like to hear Marie sing “It must have been lunch” *lol*
Just for a change... ;-)
Sascha said on August 31, 2006 15:23:
The details are all in the link. A TDR frontpage article should follow. And there’s quite a big fan meeting on it’s way for this show: http://www.roxetteforum.com/index.php?topic=7438.0

and how would someone outside Germany get tickets.... ;) give us a hint!
roxgirl_germany said on August 31, 2006 19:25:
Bravo ticket hotline: 00 49 - 18 05 57 00 66
Try this, they should speak English.
Mr_Floppy said on August 31, 2006 20:39:
Well, 10 years ago Roxette have been at the 40th anniversary show of BRAVO. Bravo really must love them;) They played “The Look” and it was full playback.
I remember this show. You could see that Marie was pregnant at this time and at the end of the performance the host of the show made a stupid joke. Something like “oh, isn’t it great that the baby can already listen to all of your songs... and when it’s born it can sing ma ma ma ma ma...
The host was Thomas Gottschalk, brrrr I absolutly don’t like this guy.
ncurran said on August 31, 2006 20:41:
Was the 40th anniversary in an arena like this show? Because if it is only one song and it is playback it is definitely not worth me going.
Mr_Floppy said on August 31, 2006 20:45:
I guess so. BRAVO made a big party out of it. But nobody can be sure about the number of songs at the upcoming show. Could be one, could be two. Three or more? Don’t think so.
But what could speak for more than one song is, that this time they have something to promote. So they could play The Look (again... sorry;) and One Wish. 1996 they were just guests because they have been quite often in the BRAVO magazine in the 90’s. So it almost was a must but than again it came out of the blue.
Jud (moderator) said on August 31, 2006 22:01:
Me and C want to go there too, we were actually thinking of going to Hamburg for a long weekend (we went there in 2004 July and we liked it a lot), I think this weekend will be sooner than we thought :D *yay*
Sascha said on August 31, 2006 22:38:
I believe Bravo 50 is planned on a much bigger scale than the 40th anniversary. Judging from the broadcast 10 years ago it was just a normal tv show from a studio. Now they’ve made a big promo campaign, website and Pro Sieben will show weekly journals about BRAVO 5 weeks in advance. The whole gala project seems to be much bigger and “richer”!
whateveriam said on August 31, 2006 22:46:
Wow, they must love it if they’re are putting that much into it!
Mr_Floppy said on August 31, 2006 22:51:
10 years ago I’ve seen a lot of pre-reports and other stuff about the whole thing, too. And the real show (not the tv-broadcast) was about 3 hours, too. If I remember right. We’ll see. I don’t care, if it’s two or three songs as long as OW will be one of them. It’s a good place to promote the upcoming release.
Starrox said on August 31, 2006 23:05:
Upcoming release? The single’s been out for two weeks and the GH and the RoxBox for a day on the day of the show... *g* It might be a bit too late for the single, but it’s perfect timing for the GH!
Mr_Floppy said on August 31, 2006 23:10:
I guess they want to sell the GH rather than the single. More money. And I don’t think that BRAVO will change their dates because of a better promo for Roxette.
whateveriam said on August 31, 2006 11:26:
Damn! Can’t get to Hamburg then!
