Hi All
Roxette have appeared on a new major compilation in Australia with THE LOOK.
Video Hits is a weekly music show that first started in 1986 and is celebrating 20 years on Australian TV this year. It airs Saturday and Sunday mornings and drawers in about 1million viewers each week in Australia.
Vist video hits at:
To Celebrate Video Hits have released a DVD with 40 video clips from 1986-1996 sadly Roxette doesn’t appear on this.
However Roxette appear on the double CD Disc 1 Track 10 THE LOOK. Roxette also appear on the front cover. The picture is of Marie and Per in the Joyride era.
Also the CD booklet has a brief write up stating that THE LOOK was the first of 3 number 1’s for Roxette (In Australia) the other two being IT MUST HAVE BEEN LOVE ’90 & JOYRIDE ’91
For a picture and tracklisting of the CD visit:

Apparently in 1 month time the follow up 1996-2006 CD’s and DVD will be released by Video Hits. Althought I don’t expect Roxette to appear in this period as most of their success in Australia was in the years 1989-1994/95.
Personally I remember back in 1989 seeing THE LOOK video on Video Hits and watching it reach number 1, ah those were the days.
Can’t wait for the new Roxette releases.
Take Care.

Well thats some consolation seeing that they aren’t on the DVD, and even a pic on the cover.
BTW video hits has a nice biography(?) of Roxette http://www.videohits.com.au/artist.php?artist_id=2423# They’re quoting 75million albums and singles.

Speaking of The Look...
They played this song on Spicks and Specks a few weeks back (for those who don’t know, it is a music game show on TV with two teams of “celebrities” answering questions related to music and all things related)
The game they were playing involved one team member riding a bike and controlling the speed of the song while the others have to guess the song.
Mind you it took them a while to guess it, they had basically given up when smart a**e Alan Brough guessed it and called it She’s Got The Look (typical!)

Funny, I posted a little while back moaning that Roxette were not on this release not realising the CD was different to the DVD. I wonder what made them decide to not put the video on the DVD considerng that some of the hits on the DVD are from less well known artists.
Great that they have a pic on the cover as well.
