Here are 4 pictures on the Roxette 4-Sided Gatefold Promo Folder For The 20 Year Anniversy.
The 1:st picture

The 2:nd picture

The 4:th picture
http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i3/JACOBW_ROXETTE/RoxetteFolderForThe2...
A medley is coming that´s called Stars-On-45
I´m sure that it´s a medley of Stars
On my computer the pictures countened as number 1 on the 1:st picture, number 2 on the 2:nd picture, number 3 on the 3:rd picture, number 4 on the 4:th picture but on photobucket the 1:st picture had the letter P instead of number 1 and number 1 was first on the 2:nd picture so the 3:rd picture has number 2 and the 4:th picture has number 3.

Wow ! Sureley that is the tracklisting ! And did you read? “The complete Roxette MTV unplugged TV-show!” It must be in there afterall :)
And the ’old songs’ tracklisting for “Roxette Hits”, appears to be:
The Look
Dressed For Success
Listen To Your Heart
Dangerous
It Must Have Been Love
Joyride
Fading Like A Flower
Spending My Time
How Do You Do!
Almost Unreal
Sleeping In My Car
Crash! Boom! Bang!
Run To You
You Don’t Understand Me
Wish I Could Fly
Stars
The Centre Of The heart
Milk And Toast And Honey
A Thing About you
Opportunity Nox
This seems to be getting exciting !
tavo said on June 27, 2006 15:31:
this is just great. where did you take that from? i hope this is official coz i like that tracklisting. neverending love seems not to be there anyway...
20 years, 20 songs...
Secretkeeper81 said on June 27, 2006 15:33:
By the way, I’m wondering why they used those photoshoots from the Don’t bore us- and Joyride-era, when there surely must have been some more recent ones available? Maybe the aim was to show Roxette through the years?
The tracklisting is O.K. - all of their biggest hits, I was surprised to see Run to you in there, but it’s good cos it’s one of my favourites actually!;)
chrisjankunas said on June 27, 2006 15:34:
Earth posted it in the “Rox Medley single” article comments section. He mentioned it a while back but put the gatefolder promo up today !
Credit totally goes to Earth !
I love the “Don’t Bore Us” pictures ! They rock ! Maybe the “Roxette Hits” cd will include pictures over the years like you said - The RoxBox and its 80 page booklet even !
Secretkeeper81 said on June 27, 2006 15:36:
Oh yes I love the look they had in that time, too ;) I hope the booklet will show pictures of them all through the 20 years!
pwbbounce (moderator) said on June 27, 2006 15:41:
what about the bowling alley shoot though?? Is this from a recognised source?? Surprising that Opp Nox is on there???
chrisjankunas said on June 27, 2006 15:43:
pwbbounce
There was some interview in which Per said Opportunity Nox would definitley be on the hits album !
pwbbounce (moderator) said on June 27, 2006 15:43:
okay, if this tracklisting is right, where’s the new songs?????????
chrisjankunas said on June 27, 2006 15:46:
Don’ know. Guess they aren’t “revealed” yet. But then, why would it be wrong?
pwbbounce (moderator) said on June 27, 2006 15:47:
How they gonna fit 22 songs on one CD. Just not sure if it’s legit. Surely it would be officially announced on the news page????
chrisjankunas said on June 27, 2006 15:48:
That is how many songs the Shania Twain Greatest Hits has :D
pwbbounce (moderator) said on June 27, 2006 15:51:
still not convinced. I’ll wait to read a statement from the band. Can’t see them having 22 songs on a CD. Plus it mentioned this Star-45 medley, so it will actually be 23. Never gonna fit!!!
colinvdbel (moderator) said on June 27, 2006 16:03:
Hmm doesn’t seem real to me...could be a concept for the promo folder though...
edit: typo
rox-kuryliw said on June 27, 2006 16:35:
well i would deff be happy.
I do think it is an update DBUGTTC though. And i personally think the photos from that era are iconic of roxette in a way.
yin yan, maire all rox chick up , red lippy shades tight pants, per with long hair and loose guitar, very roxette if u ask me (perfect). I would of prefered a more r/s look myself. They etter include some new pics or i will sulk lol.
and why do they never start with neverending love ! that would of been good this time round.
although without being rude, i could do the same cover ect and print it just like that in half day ! would prefer the rs album designer to get invloved and make it more classy.
Jud (moderator) said on June 27, 2006 17:06:
ain’t this spooky? Joyrider made those designs, minimalistic, and with those colours and the star :O
joyrider said on June 27, 2006 17:39:
... but my font had more style ;) ... I don’t like these massive Helvetica Condensed letters... and the star in the letter O looks kinda uninspired and semiprofessional to me and I don’t understand why they didn’t connect the double T for not having such a big optical gap... keyword: “typographic rules”.
tevensso (moderator) said on June 27, 2006 19:37:
The medley is most probably the medley we already heard.
Marieangel said on June 27, 2006 20:22:
I think it’s totally fake!!
Per said in the radio interview to Canada, the other day. That the Rox box will include 4 CDs + 1 DVD,so it’s totally fake!!
sille-rox said on June 27, 2006 20:39:
it´s all old pics from the first Gh-Album. Who the new Pics from new Photoshoot?
i hope thats not the real Cover. i not like it.
room-service said on June 27, 2006 22:26:
@chrisjankunas: They don’t say the medley will be called “Stars on 45”, they just say that it’ll be a “Stars-on-45” type medley - you get the difference? ;-) So it won’t have anything to do with the Song ’Stars’.
“Stars-on-45” was a project in the early 80s which at that time was very successful with medleys. Their first medley was on #1 in Germany for a very long periode around my birth.
@sille-rox: this promo-folder was probably sent out before they had the new shooting in the bowling alley.
’Earth’ told us about having bought this folder 10 days ago - so you can guess when it was printed.
I think that’s why some of the infos on the folder aren’t up to date (3 instead of 4 cds in the box and so on) - it’s just a promo folder long before cover and even the release date is fix - not to compare with a promo-folder send out right before an actual release.
I think the GH will have 20 tracks (because it’s the 20th... you know*g*), so they will probably take the 20 old songs mentioned in the folder and the new ones are just included in the box as a bonus for the fans. Thats how I interpret the things written in this folder - so perhaps no single release??? I don’t hope so - we’ll see :-)
roxtexanet said on June 28, 2006 02:57:
@room-service: But that can’t be right either because they said that the medley would be the B-side of the single...
roxtexanet said on June 28, 2006 03:27:
Anyway, this doesn’t look right to me at all... that bio is not professionally written (compare with the bio on the official site, for example) and of course it’s silly to try to cram 23 songs on one CD (and not list the new ones). And it’s too early, so I’m going to say someone’s pulling our leg...
Roxwriter said on June 28, 2006 03:31:
Also the bio says that Roxette have topped every major chart around the world.
Untrue.
The “UK Albums and Singles Charts” proved to be an elusive goal during Roxette’s career.
I doubt Roxette management would’ve allowed a mis-leading bio to have been printed.
Another oversight that suggests this is either a radio/press promo edition or a fake. . .
Room_service said on June 28, 2006 03:58:
I don’t think this is REAL. Some mistakes:
- It says “Room Service” was a “million-selling album” Really? HAND as a million selling album makes more sense, but Room Service was not a huge success at all.
- It also says the latest Greatest Hits was DBUGTTC, released in 1995. What about DBUGTTC 2000, The Ballad Hits and The Pop Hits? Apparently, the company forgot all those releases.
An updated GH featuring photos from 1995 doesn’t make sense either. In fact, all those pictures were used for the DBUGTTC project (album and singles). It looks like a cheap, expanded copy of an early release - very uninspired. It has to feature new pictures OR something intemporal like TBH/TPH.
The title, Roxette Hits, sounds too simple, not very sophisticated. Lack of imagination.
The tracklist is perfect, but there is no room for so many songs on one CD. 20 songs + the 2 new tracks. One CD can only support 80 minutes of music. Nice tracklist but “almost unreal”. Too good to be true.
Conclusion: I don’t think the label would make everything in a rush like this. I guess they will care about every detail. This “promo folder” has many gross mistakes, it CAN’T be real! (I hope it is not).
roxtexanet said on June 28, 2006 05:39:
@Roxwriter: and France, too.
@Room_Service: Your namesake sold at least a million copies, if not 1.5...
chrisjankunas said on June 28, 2006 06:45:
@ Room_Service. When did I say that? Did you not read that all of that info was taken from Earth’s comment to a TDR article?
chrisjankunas said on June 28, 2006 08:10:
So the MTV Unplugged IS being released ! Yay ! Good news for me on the day of my last exam ;)
BTW I checked and you could just about squeeze those 20 songs onto a 80 Minute CD - It was about 1hour 20minutes 15seconds - sometimes cd have lags inbetween songs which could be deleted to squeeze the songs if need be. Hmmm makes me wonder about the fate of the new songs - are they in the box as said in the promo floder and not the GH album?
erweetiran said on June 28, 2006 08:16:
aaah, I hoped for a live performance dvd, room service or live in johannesburg maybe, to me unplugged is a very boring show
RobS said on June 28, 2006 08:38:
It seems to be a little confusing at the moment what’s included in what.
Looks like the Hits album is just the hits, and that all the goodies including the medley and the new songs are part of the RoxBox. Which is probably good, that way fans won’t complain that they have to buy the compilation just to get 2 new songs.
As far as the design goes, i’m hoping they work on it a little. I’d rather have joyrider’s concept over this one.
Let’s hope there’s a live DVD of some sort in the works for later down the track as well.
pwbbounce (moderator) said on June 28, 2006 08:43:
well, I’m confused now!!! :-) Where’s the new songs gonna be?? Just the roxbox? Hmm. And the Bowling Alley shoot? What’s that going to be used for??
ncurran said on June 28, 2006 08:43:
Unless i got this wrong, this is just an initial promo being sent out to radio stations or?
So the tracklisting will prob not be the same...in fact i am pretty sure that they would include the 2 new songs, or at least one of them on the compilation. The artwork I am sure will also change before the CD is released.
This is obviously just a tactic by EMI to get some more Rox played on the radio leading up to the full release in the autumn, which can only be a good thing
onlywhenidream said on June 28, 2006 08:58:
well, if it is for real, I hope they sort out the grammatical errors in the biog before it is released!
ncurran said on June 28, 2006 09:10:
i dont think grammatical errors have bothered them before....though they should. I said a long time ago that Rox should get a native speaker to proof read all their material, including their lyrics.
pwbbounce (moderator) said on June 28, 2006 09:11:
like neil said I think it’s only a early promo. per hasn’t released any song titles yet, so they couldn’t include them in the original track listing. Who knows for sure?? Just gotta wait and see
room-service said on June 28, 2006 09:31:
@chrisjankunas: I didn’t wrote you said it, but you posted this information here in this thread and I corrected it refering to your post. BTW why copying something wrong? ;-)
(P.S. I’m room-service not Room_service, but I was 1st *g*)
—
As I already said on the first page, it’s a promo-folder printed long before realease dates, cover-design, etc. were fix and even before the new photo-shooting took place - so everything could change a bit. It’s not a promo folder for the masses, just a preview for exclusive audience.
—
@roxtexanet: You’re probably right, so there’ll be at least a single release, but the new tracks could still only be in the box and not in the GH Compilation - I really think they’ll take 20 tracks and not 22, just because of the 20.
tevensso (moderator) said on June 28, 2006 09:35:
This is just an info folder about the releases, it’s not a CD promo. (As far as I know of course).
rox-kuryliw said on June 28, 2006 09:42:
owww people heads buzzing all around about the news. nice to see. :-)
PolicarpoAroca said on June 28, 2006 10:21:
Oh my god...lack of imagination and inspiration again in the -probably- last Roxette project? If the new releases are going to be like these...I´m happy Roxette days are over. I don´t want to see my lovely band fading credibility with all their last releases.
Come on people...first it was the debate about if they should release another GH-compilation. We agreed there are plenty of them already. But now the reality exceed fiction: IS IT JUST A RE-RELEASE OF DBUGTC, just with a little different final touches on it? My god...astonishing dissapointing...
Jud (moderator) said on June 28, 2006 10:30:
they could at least care to release something mistake-free for once... >:| I’ve never seen so many mistakes as in Rox&co albums!
ncurran said on June 28, 2006 11:02:

onlywhenidream said on June 28, 2006 11:52:
@ judith - right back at you! I totally agree. No wonder the media in the UK has such a field day with Roxette and their ’Swedish-ness’. I love it and think it is cute, their roxetteisms, but, it does make them look a bit ameaturish.
joyrider said on June 28, 2006 12:15:
2 Ncurran:
Yes we are, but I think that’s good and it is logical consequence...
We know, Roxette’s music was/is on a high quality level and it kinda hurts, when you see that the band and songs you love/d are going to be promoted with graphic design and promo-texts like they were on “summer sale” ... without passion, flair and ... you name it. Cheers.
ncurran said on June 28, 2006 12:23:
i understand that, but i just think it is a bit over the top since this is only an initial promo. i very much doubt that this is going to be what the final package looks like. I’m sure we were never meant to see this
pwbbounce (moderator) said on June 28, 2006 12:32:
Probably not, another bad thing about the internet. Seeing this has got everybody up in arms about the pictures, track listings etc and if this was back in the 80’s/90’s this wouldn’t have happened. You may have seen an article in a magazine or something a couple of weeks before release, but for the most part you wouldn’t know what the cover was going to be like until the album was in the shops.
Rox inserts have always been good quaility inserts, and I’m sure they’re not gonna change that now, for the 20th, with some half-shot 11 year old pictures. I’m sure they’re not gonna disappoint now. And I’m sure that the tracklisting is gonna change and will include at least one of the new tracks.
joyrider said on June 28, 2006 12:39:
At the moment I feel a bit like I did on the day, when TCOTH was “available” on Napster ... Lots of people at TDR thought it was just a demo version because it sounded very programmed and there where no (more or less promised) guitars...
Let’s hope, this time, it is just a “demo” version of the upcoming design...
Maciek said on June 28, 2006 12:43:
I think - this is ONLY promo folder for radios to promote roxbox. It’s just an add. That’s why there are old photos, because the new ones aren’t ready. And it’s not the track list but just the list of roxette hits. Just to remind radio dj what Roxette did througout the years.
If I’m wrong - well I’ll disappointed
ncurran said on June 28, 2006 12:46:
No Maciek, i think you are exactly right....thats why i dont think there should be all this fuss
RobS said on June 28, 2006 12:48:
What pwbounce and ncurran said makes sense.
Another little thing... “complete Roxette MTV Unplugged TV-show! & all the video-hits!”
I don’t like the sound of that, there going to cram 40+ videos plus the MTV show all on one DVD.
I hope they really do this justice, and change it to a double DVD set and add some really nice extras. Also both versions of IMHBL & AU. And good quality/remastered versions of the pre-95 clips.
Still looking forward to it very much :-)
Maciek said on June 28, 2006 12:51:
@ncurran - So let’s hope we both are right. But it’s nice to see that a lot of fans still cares about Roxette. I missed for so long time this all guessing and wondering - what it’s gonna be, how it will look like and so on.
:-)

purplemedusa said on June 29, 2006 00:56:
Without any sarcasm I think this is PATHETIC work from Capital/EMI (suprise-suprise)!! It seems like an incredably rushed job will loads of gaps and errors. I think such a promo release would actually do more harm that gain media respect!!
Firstly, the images are poorly chosen and doesn’t tie together; what, couldn’t they afford the royalties of the better photoshoots? There’s simply NO recognisible media-images (except for the MG one)... it DOES not convey nostalgia like the text attempts!
Secondly, (as mentioned above) there’s some facts provided in this folder that’s just completely off-track; as far as I remember a press release is meant to inform AND not to confuse! Couldn’t they afford to research the facts first?
I wonder how could this have been approved by Per & Marie - they’ve been known to be perfectionists when it comes to promo material - AND this is simply a disgrace!!
I will make ZERO attempts to acquire this... and infact if I do find copies of this I WILL burn it! This is NOT good enough... utter CRAP if you ask me!

So let’s wait for proper informations

I really like this tracklisting. Of course the new songs are missing. But I loved the ideia of “Run to you” being there - and no, we don´t need “The big l.” again...
But THANK GOD this is old! It looks good, but please Marie & Per: don´t use this photoshoot again! It´s from 11 years ago!! We want new photos and new artwork...
abysmo said on June 30, 2006 00:06:
Yes, the tracklist is OK and yes, there will be new design and new pictures. From Bowling Alley surely...
chrisjankunas said on June 30, 2006 08:31:
Well obviously in the spring they did’t HAVE any new pictures to take, hence the bowling alley shoot. I think since the GH isn’t really being marketed at us then it shouldn’t really matter what we think of it. It should matter what the every Tom, Dick or Harriet thinks. Afterall some of us love HAND cover (NOT ME!) when most people would not !
I wonder if they will still use the ROX MEDLEY font too !
(EDIT: TYPO)
room-service said on June 30, 2006 09:41:
@matufan: I don’t think so, they simply had no new pictures to take for this promo-folder.
The info on the folder isn’t valid anymore, but the pictures were never ment to be used for the new release, they were only used for this very early promo-folder (that’s at least what I think) - which pictures should have been taken instead, since new ones weren’t available?
Jules-SouthAfrica said on June 30, 2006 10:20:
I hope they’ll include the alternate videos to certain videos also, ie IMHBL, AU, LTYH etc.
also, the “full” Unplugged, does that include never before seen FLAF, PD, etc??? hope so!!
I’m just so unbelievable happy this is all happening. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this for so long. I just wish they would record more new songs (at least just one or two more? it’s not too much to ask is it?). But otherwise, I am just so happy and proud that the name of Roxette is still going strong. I’m sure the actual release will look much better than this. They usually never disappoint... I can’t wait!
abysmo said on June 30, 2006 11:57:

I have one thing I think has to be in the box... Svarta Glas and a couple of the other swedish pop demos...
Room_service said on July 2, 2006 05:46:
I don’t think SDLHA should be included. It was not a “hit” at all, so it doesn’t deserve to be there. Anyway, as the main album tracks will be included in the box (along all the “rarities” planned for this release), both SDLHA and I Don’t Want To Get Hurt MUST be there. Since DBU-GTTC was deleted those songs are not available anymore on any other release.
I will miss “The Big L.”, it’s one of my favourite songs from “Joyride”. Also “Church”, but I can’t pretend all the singles off that album being included, that would be too much. I will miss “Salvation” too.
Last but no least: for God’s sake, why “Fireworks” was not included again!!! I am not so sure at all (I don’t remember the chart figures at the moment), but I guess “Run 2 You” was not bigger than “Fireworks”...
chrisjankunas said on July 2, 2006 12:59:
But Run To You is a Marie + Per favourite ! And Run To You did better than Fireworks in the UK :D
Secretkeeper81 said on July 2, 2006 13:36:
I agree that maybe SDLHA might be included in the Rox-Box as a rare track. But maybe it won’t be in the greatest hits compilation after all, because it wansn’t that much of a hit (unfortunately!).
I remember Per answering some fan questions and saying he didn’t think Fireworks was that good a song.
I like it a lot, but I think Run to you would fit better in the compilation.
ChrisWilliams said on July 2, 2006 14:43:
Everyone’s mentioned everything I’d love to see in the box! Having said that, one more thing I’d be interested to hear would be the Spanish version of You Don’t Understand Me :)
Secretkeeper81 said on July 2, 2006 20:56:
Spanish version of YDUM? That was never released officially, or was it?
Room_service said on July 2, 2006 21:18:
Apparently, a Spanish version of YDUM was recorded but never released. According to some rumours it was Desmond Child who vetoed it. I don’t know his reasons, but I hope the Spanish adaptation is not AS BAD as some other tracks included on “Baladas en español!”
Anyway, I’d like to listen to that version! (YDUM is one of my favourite Roxette ballads).
Alesvenska said on July 4, 2006 00:26:
What I would really like to see in the roxbox is a live DVD release, I really don’t give a damn about the unplugged I’ve seen it many times and it doesn’t add anything to their career, **personal opinion**, on the other hand they could at least release the Johanesburg concert from the CBB tour! since it was released on laser disc and I don’t think it’s that difficult to release internatioinally on DVD! By the way, was no RS concert ever recordered ? , not even the one broadcast on internet ?, I know you’re gonna say Per answered once that it doesnt have the enough quality to be released on DVD but I’d rather poor quality that than nothing at all! I really really really want a live DVD release! Tack!

MTV unplugged is a historical thing, isn’t it? The first non english speaking group to do it... I would love it on the DVD, but a DVD can be 4 hours (8 if it’s doublesided) so why not MTV and some more stuff? would be fun :D
