Not that keen on the ’Listen To Your Heart’ and ’It Must Have Been Love’ parts tho - ’Dangerous’ and ’Fading Like A Flower’ suit it much more in my opinion and sound much better along with ’Joyride’ And ’The Look’!

No it’s not total rubbish. Neil is right. It’s the owners of the site that would get in trouble, and possibly close the site. I don’t think anyone wants that! Just remove the link. If people want it, Email it to them.

Ever heard of sayhey the kylie forum? EMI UK had it shut down last year to clean up all the mp3s that had been posted on there, and the site owner was threatened with legal action. We all know that Per visits this site, perhaps also other members of EMI. Sometimes they are a little more laid back about older stuff, but this is a brand new mix that is the b-side of Roxette’s new single....I’m sure EMI wouldnt take kindly to it being passed around freely on here!
Of course as fans we all want to hear it, but you can be a little more discreet and rooting around the net to find it quite easily....just asking for trouble posting it here though, which is probably the closest thing roxette have to an official site these days

This is the bit about the internet that I don’t really like. Nothing is a surprise anymore. Remember 10 years ago, having to wait and wait until a single was released, then an album and going to the record shops to buy it and not having heard all the songs already?? That part of being a music fan has changed forever. It’s a little sad I think.

I personally never want to see the CD die out. Downloading is all well and good, but having the actually CD is so much better. It feels like you’ve actually contributed to that artists success rather than just clicked on “download now”.

Music is such a universal thing, and everyone has an opinion on it - this is mine!

Thats why with new releases that i am excited about, i make the effort not to download anything prior to its release, as it spoils it a bit. I wasnt too bothered about this mix, as a new remix doesnt really excite me too much....but with maries new album i didnt listen to any of it until i got the CD, not even visiting her site to listen to the snippets...i wanted to hear the full album at once without the surprise being spoilt. Im going to make the effort to do this all the time now for artists who i really like...it does take a bit of willpower though, as its very tempting to download it early as i am a very impatient person!

Much easier. If you look into the source code of the website, you find the URL of the wma file that is played. No, I won’t give any more hints here.
Although I don’t really understand why EMI Finland makes it that easy to download the song in rather good quality.

@Bananylopalabomba: Please delete your link cos as said above you bring the TDR into real trouble with such posts!

Well, in fact the CD Promo is NOT FOR SALE either. But somehow, people in selling it in eBay (and some other people is buying it). I don’t know why EMI doesn’t take any action against that too, if they are so worried about piracy. In the promo it says, clearly NOT FOR SALE But the company doesn’t mind -apparently- that some people is making money with those discs.

As far as I’m concerned, record companies are the first ones to kill their artists with their usurious deals and in Roxette case, the lack of promotion, not us the hardcore fans who buy every single record they release.

I think my whole point was somewhat missed here...of course all the fans want to hear it.....just think its a bit pointless making it so obvious on this forum. Its clear from the first few posts in this thread who has a copy. All it wouldve taken was a look in their profile and a personal email to them (myself included). Its taking the piss a bit though when people are swapping mp3s of the new unreleased mix on a forum that is probably watched by the record company.
In a way its lucky for us that roxette are not so popular these days...if it had been a ’bigger’ artist there might have been more of a fuss made about it.

As someone said before EMI Finland have it on the site, and if you know how you can just snatch it from there! It’s hardly like EMI are taking steps to ensure it is not taken by people who want it!

It’s a well known fact that this medley will more than likely never be heard by many radio stations for some fans not living in those privilege countries like the UK and I don’t have the time to sit around all day waiting for it to be played on the radio to get a copy!

I won’t buy the single even if it was cheap as I just don’t waste my money on singles anymore….

In fact I’ve played it a few times, I am hardly likely to play it again!

Regarding the Medley, the best part is IMHBL - that’s the TOP! I have no doubt about it. Not very fond of the Joyride part. For some reason I never liked any remix of that song (Magicfriend, US remix, 2005 remix). It’s like the song is not very suitable for a remix, I don’t know. I’d like too a longer part for Dangerous. It’s a shame Dressed for Success was not included. It would make the medley too long to be played on the radio, I guess.

I’d like a medley with the latest hits too, it would be a nice idea. Which tracks (6) would be included? This are mine (no particular order):

Sleeping in my car/Run to you/You don’t understand me/Wish I Could Fly/Stars/The centre of the heart

Thats fine Mari, but i dont think this mix is really made for the fans...(and there are some fans like myself who do like dance music).
Its more for non-fans that if they hear it on the radio they would recognise some of the songs and be reminded of Roxette before the GH is released, after all that is the whole purpose of the mix...to promote the GH. However, i doubt it will be played on the radio (at least here in the UK), but hopefully it will get played in some clubs

I was very sceptycal when this remix was announced. But now I kinda like it. I am not a big fan of dance music, but this is different. Dance music is usually a mish-mash of different noises, with no lyrics at all - it drives me crazy! This is more a remix, not 100% dance music. I have always liked Roxette’s remixes (WICF, Stars, TCOTH, etc)
