i found a link on news about new album four years at earliest from 2003.it says about per oposing the war in iraq.
could that be the reason why UK fans get ignored?also US dont get anything anymore either e.g SOAP or The Change

All the people using brain talked that this war solve nothing.
And about SOAP releases. I don´t think it´s about politics, it´s much simply, it´s about bussiness.

Geez, come on!! Don’t over analyze stuff... :|

It is very easy. UK & USA is where Roxette does not sell well.
Why bother releasing a solo album of a member of a band that does not sell...??

omg i find myself agreeing with tevensso whats the world coming to lol.

Roxette are not successful in English speaking countries because people understand the lyrics there.

Hey! I understand English quite well.....LOL!!

Roxette were very successful in the US, as you all may or may not remember? It all ended (?) when EMI USA rearranged their management, and that was in 1992, a bit before the war, wasn’t it?

Baladas en Español sold a whole lot in Spanish speaking countries that understand the lyrics, and believe me, they are MUUUUCH worse than the English lyrics. So that can’t be a factor...

most bands would at least put a limited number out at least for the fans.and roxette did sell well in the uk Look Sharp!,Joyride,Tourism,Crash Boom Bang and Dont Bore Us all made the top 5.only Have A Nice Day sold poorly getting to #28 and Room Service didnt chart because of poor distribution and advertising by the record label. They could have put out SOAP in the same way as Room Service at least then the fans could buy it if they wanted.and not all Roxette fans will ahve the internet to buy it off.I bet some dont even know that it exists.
Roxette are still popular over here even more so now that Fading Like A Flower and Listen To Your Heart have recently been back in the public eye.I just found it odd that the only countries that it doesnt seem to be released in are 2 of the biggest music buying countries in the world and the 2 that were involved in that stupid war.I thought that maybe Per was making a point of not releasing over here.Anyway it would be nice if we could get it here at some point.

Santi: You have a good point there!

“I thought that maybe Per was making a point of not releasing over here”

I don’t think Per cares that strongly about war that he’d turn down the chance to make some money in UK and US. Besides, it’s not his personal choice where albums are released, it’s the record company.

tev per also seeems to have had a hand at undoing their usa influence. He refused t hand over dont or us to the emi us marketing and management team period. I dobt that made them happy

it serves EMI america right that he refused them after the Crash Boom Bang disaster.its like when channel 4 in the UK axed Brookside after messing it about its creator Phil Redmond almost took Hollyoaks off them.you cant blame per for being a bit pissed off with EMI America they F****d Roxettes career up in the US.but still i would have thought he would let them release something now.........

I heard that Per turned down a deal with Sony because they didn’t offer enough money, is that true? And then they chose Edel because they wanted to be the biggest artist at a small label rather than a small artist at a big one? Could be wrong, it was a few years ago but that’s how I remember it. But if it’s true...stupid, stupid, stupid!

“they wanted to be the biggest artist at a small label rather than a small artist at a big on”

why do you think that was a bad move? maybe he thought being the biggest artist the label would concentrate more on them than Emi did?

thants a bit assanine, considering edel was a crappy independent lable, they just have no interest in the states period and its a shame
