Salvation...

I was just curious if you’ve ever heard Salvation in the radio... I have, but it was a long time ago, I suppose they don’t play it anymore here in CR...

Can’t even remember!

i heard it once or twice here in argentina. the problem is that radio stations were given the spanish version (lo siento) instead of the original. the spanish version was usually airplayed here.

I suppose once.

i remember one time on SWR3 (Germany) when the father of a friend of mine drove us... (omg, back than i had no drivers license).

I heard never ending love today

@Ted: On the RADIO?! Wow, that *IS* something!

I’ve heard Rox more and more lately (although I’ve also moved to a new city, maybe they just play more Rox here than other places I’ve lived!). It was “The Look” the other day, maybe it will be “Soul Deep” tomorrow... (-:

Nah, never heard it. Haven’t heard Rox on the radio here for ages, but I only listen to it for about 10 mins in the morning

Yes, around 2000 or 2001. never since then... mainly because I don’t listen to the radio anymore :D

yep it was on radio

guess what Soil Deep is played right now “

Heard Salvation a couple of times. Back in 1999 a radiostation called RadioMafia (nowadays YleX) listed it once as the most played song of the week.

...in Finland, that is.

i heard how do you do a few months back on radio city 96.7 my local radio station also heard joyride and it must have been love.i did sneak sleeping inmy car on the pub jukebox once.i was quite pleased with myself.

“I dont listen to the radio”
Why?

I heard FLAFlower today :)

I requested “Wish I Could Fly” on radio P3 (Sweden) the other day and they played it.

i don’t listen to the radio, but Rox songs are played very, very often here in poland... Salvation is probably one of the rarest songs, but in HAND era it was possible to hear it on most important tv and radio stations.

@ThePopHits: I don’t listen to the radio because I don’t like the music they play. If I ever do (and it’s been a year since last time so far) is to listen to classical music.
I know what music I like and so I can stick to it. Besides I can use the internet to research new music, or to keep up with what the ones I like do, or to listen to their influences. I prefer to have control over the music that I hear instead of the “music industry” taking control over my brains.

PS. You can call me paranoid if you wish :D

Santi I understand your point and I truly agree.
I find those “play lists” very annoying. It´s the same with crappy MTV. Yuck!

Well I listen to the radio quite often, I choose between 5 good stations... They play everything from the 80’s to present and 75% of these songs are worth listening :) Roxette are played too of course, both MATAH and TCOTH got to #1 in Czech airplay in 2001 :)

Well some Afrikaans radio station plays the spanish versions of IMHBL & FLAF on a regular basis!!

That’s funny, why do they play the Spanish version?..

The Spanish IMHBL is awful! It’s the worst piece of music on BEE. FLAF en espanol is somewhat decent though.

Anyhoo, all in all I’d reckon Salvation being one of the rarest Rox songs to be played on radio.

The Finnish stations seem to like Anyone, Milk and toast and honey, It must have been love and Fading like a flower nowadays.

“FLAF en espanol is somewhat decent though...”

I suppose you don’t understand Spanish, dear! Soy una mujer has the most awful lyrics on that album. The title means “I am a woman”, nothing to do with the original text!

If it’s played as much as it is sold, it’s no big deal :p

I didn’t understand why the first 3 singles from HAND where quite big hits and Salvation flopped. Besides the ugly drum sounds it’s a good song I think.

I don’t think Anyone was a big hit... It was something between a minor hit and a flop. But Stars and WICF were definitely big hits... Salvation flopped because of lack of promotion.
