A petition

Hi everybody!
I guess this petition will fall, don’t know, anywhere but in the right place.
All of us are waiting for the “new” Rox compilation, not for the compilation itself (I guess most of us have The look, joyride and IMHBL in, at least, 4-5 albums) but for the new(s) song(s).
Admitting it’ll almost be impossible to wait for a full new album, it would be a real present for all the fans to receive this compilation as something new. How could it be? Well, imagine Per and Marie decided to re-record the hits they decide to put into the album. That is, new vocals and new instruments. It would sound totally different. It wouldn’t be as much work as recording a full new album, and we would have the old hits in a new version (not mixes, not remastering).
What do you think about it? Just dream...

I don’t think they have the time to re-record all the songs in a hi standard with lots of ideas and so on. Normally an international CD has to be ready 3 months before it’s release. October = 10 – 3 = 7 = July. Don’t want any rushed out cheap dance versions! ;-)

@Oscarbcn
For Roxette to fully re-record / remix all their old / older hits, it would actually take the same amount of time as it would, were they to record a whole new album.
What is the most time consuming when making a record is actually the production etc. You can make a demo within a couple of hours.. but to produce a song to make it sound absolutely fantastic can take days.. weeks or months to finally get it right and have it feel perfectly fine..

a new album would be best and maybe if the new greatest hits is a worldwide success they might be persuaded to record another album.but at the end of the day its their choice and if they are happy to let Roxette ’sleep’ then we have to respect that and enjoy the albums that we already have.in any case it would be no fun listening to an album if i thought that they felt pressured to record it and didnt enjoy making it.

I thought the alternative takes on the rox-box would be a little something like that.
