@purp: any idea when SOAP is gonna be released in SA?
matufan said on April 14, 2006 19:42:
Earth, your message is very confusing. You repeat the same many times...
roxlad said on April 14, 2006 22:08:
@Earth... all the EU issues of SOAP should be exactly the same.... even the “Made in.....” writing.... the only difference between one and another could be a sticker. Do you count that as separates?
chrisjankunas said on April 14, 2006 22:39:
A sticker? That crosses the border into insanity - especially since some stores create their own stickers !!!
marcusvandeursen said on April 14, 2006 22:56:
@chrisjankunas... indeed that’s mental counting those as separate issues.

I bet the SOAP album available in Helsinki, Madrid, Münich, Brussels and Vienna -to give a few examples- is the same pressing (made in the Dutch pressing plant of EMI). Maybe a different sticker in the national language, pressed by the local EMI label, is the only difference. It doesn’t count as “different releases”.
I think the there are only European (digipack and jewel case) and Taiwanese issues. But I know sometimes Taiwanese releases are the European one with an OBI (it happened to TBH and TPH).
South African release is on the way. Brazilian and Argentinian not confirmed yet. Brazil released “The Change”; EMI-Odeón Argentina promised it, but finally nothing happened. So I don’t know what to think (let me be suspicious).
If SOAP is released here, I’d like to swap it for the European issue if possible. We’ll see.

My Taiwanese TPH is made in Taiwan not eden.
Dave
P.S. There will be [Most Likely] no Australian version.

Found two interesting items on EBAY -
Promo sheet (IMHO a stunning piece of paper! LOL!)
http://cgi.ebay.com/Infoflyer-PER-GESSLE-Son-of-a-Plumber_W0QQitemZ76085...
GERMAN(?) 1-track Promo single (IMHO interesting - but can’t see myself run to get this one)
http://cgi.ebay.com/Roxette-Jo-Anna-Says-Son-Of-A-Plumber-PR0M0-CD-Si_W0...
As far as the ZA SOAP CD’s goes - rumour has it that it’ll be South African pressing (only the first edition)... but nothing is confirmed as yet! I will keep everyone updated!!
Room_service said on April 15, 2006 17:15:
Yes, purplemedusa. One is a sheet of paper, I wouldn’t spend a money on it. The promo... well, I think 30 euros is too much. I only get promos when they are a real bargain. If not, I let them pass...
Grasi said on April 15, 2006 18:04:
I´m guessing it will be the first time EMI Brasil won´t release an album related to Marie or Per. They´ve released “Lonely boys”, “TWATG”, “The change”, besides all rox albums... but it seems we won´t have a SOAP release here. They´ve already published the month april´s releases on their website and there is no mention about SOAP at all. But let´s see...
At least these sick collectors won´t need to give away more money. :)
purplemedusa said on April 16, 2006 06:04:
Grasi - I most certainly take issue with “sick collectors”... !!
per_mson said on April 16, 2006 17:15:
I do not count a sticker as a different issue. That I only do if the serial number or where it is made is different.
I am, however, also in the “sick” club. ;)
Earth said on April 17, 2006 09:55:
I count one sticker that´s different than another sticker as separate. I have change my first post in this topic once again.
Grasi said on April 17, 2006 14:44:
Well I think it´s ok and fine if you´re in Europe and would like to have the american or latin or asian edition from any album... or the other way round... but otherwise is really crazy having a edition from every european country. Anyway, everyone is free to decide what to do with their money.

Earth:
I believe you don’t like other kinds of music, because if you get every different “release” (I mean sticker) of SOAP, you don’t have any money left to buy music by other artists.
Sorry, but it sounds very boring to me...
Earth said on April 18, 2006 07:04:
Yeap you´re right Room Service. I buy every different Roxette & Related release/issue and I´m just love Marie Fredriksson´s/Per Gessle´s/Gyllene Tider´s/ Roxette´s and The Lonely Boys´s music so I don´t buy other items with artists/Groups than Roxette & Related.
Room_service said on April 18, 2006 14:45:
Let me say you need to develop some taste for music. I am not saying Roxette means bad taste (I wouldn’t be here then). But you listen only to Roxette and related? Open your mind, that’s too boring.
ATLTK said on April 18, 2006 15:04:
I agree¨
I do listen to other music - although I download it from the net :d
purplemedusa said on April 18, 2006 15:59:
Room_Service... I’m a HUGE roxette collector however I DO listen to other artists and buy a crazy ammount of music everymonth... my room looks more like a music store than a beedroom... I’m at the point where i’m putting long wire baskets up to file all my music coz i can’t go search in boxes anymore for music... yeah I’m a pop fanatic!!!
Earth said on April 19, 2006 10:16:
I think that it´s very fun to only listen to Roxette & Related every day and I do that
per_mson said on April 20, 2006 18:42:
Are you serious, Earth?!?!
I would go bananas if I had to listen to Rox and related all the time. As a matter in fact I don’t listen that often to PG and MF anymore. I just collect.
Earth said on April 21, 2006 15:42:
I´m serious. I can´t understand that you would go bananas if you listen to Roxette & Related all the time Per-Axel. I play Marie Fredriksson´s, Per Gessle´s, Gyllene Tider´s, Roxette´s and The Lonely Boys music on my computer so I don´t play my Roxette & Related records in my Roxette & Related collection. I Lay my Roxette & Related 3” Cds, Cd-Singles, Cd-Maxi Singles and the CD Albums in the CD burner and then burn them to CD and play them on the computer, my Roxette & Related 7-Singles, 12-Singles and the LP albums I recording from the LP player to a programe which is called Cool Edit pro and and then save the tracks and then burn them to CD and play them on the computer and with my Roxette & Related Cassette-Singles and the Cassettes I do the same as I do with my Roxette & Related 7-Singles, 12-Singles and the LP albums and the difference with my Roxette & Related Cassette-Singles and the Cassettes is only that I recording them from the Cassette player in my radio to the programe Cool edit pro.

@purple
I´m just have your 2 E-mail which you sent to me on 18 April. Do you have sent me more mail than these 2 mails?????? you get choose if you want the detailed Roxette & Related list in the Roxette & Related items I have which take a longer time or if you want the not so much detailed Roxette & Related list in the Roxette & Related items I have. it has just which artist/group, format on the Roxette & Related records, the title on the Roxette & Related items, the country where the Roxette & Related items are made in, which year the Roxette & Related items were released, the catalog number on the Roxette & Related items and how many tracks there are on the Roxette & Related records
purplemedusa said on April 21, 2006 16:28:
Doesn’t matter - i’m pretty clued up on my records so detail isn’t THAT important... if i’m not sure about something I’ll ask!
Room_service said on April 21, 2006 22:07:
Why on Earth do you repeat “Roxette & Related items” 20 times in the same sentence??????????
It drives my crazy!!!
per_mson said on April 23, 2006 08:59:
@earth: I didn’t mean that I would go crazy because of playing the records themselves. I meant to listen to ONLY the same music all the time. I need other styles, artists and most of all NEW music now and then. So I think it is really strange to only listen to the same music all the time. But hey, that’s me! ;)
