Makes me dance everytime hehe.
eBay said on March 29, 2006 07:57:
Yeah I know that track and yes, it makes me wanna dance but I also think the lyrics are a bit cringe worthy..
ThePopHits said on March 29, 2006 17:44:

They are from Denmark. Yes great tune from their recent album.
I own an album by them called “Muzaik” from 2001. Great melodic dance-pop with synths. Highly recommended, lots of good songs, and some great ballads!
:-)
rox-kuryliw said on April 23, 2006 21:29:
YAY at number 4 in top 40 this week. :-D long live euro pop down with hip hop and rap lol
animalkingdom said on April 24, 2006 19:00:
I think the song was huuuge in Finland over a year ago. However, I NEVER liked it! Sorry. Annoying.
By the way, their new song is just like FPTB!
davidc4 said on April 25, 2006 14:30:
its doing well in the U.K at the moment especially i the gay clubs it went in on downloads at #34 last week and climbed up to #4 when released on CD this week
Claire said on April 25, 2006 15:15:
@davidc4 i have noticed it gets played a lot more on the scene than straight. i think thats just down to the ’genre’ of music tho am sure it gets played loads in charver places 2 lol.
davidc4 said on April 25, 2006 15:34:
i think it does as my mate lynsey has heard it everywhere.i only play it in the car to annoy her coz she hates it lol
Invisible_man said on April 25, 2006 23:52:
Nothing pleases me more than to see great dance bands from Western europe make it big. I am so tired of hearing Anglo-American dance stuff....
And I am tired of hearing Madonna everywhere, and hip hop, and that horrible alt-rock slash brit pop of Coldplay etc etc Boring I say.....it’s all boring!
So GOOOOO Infernal!!!!!!
Invisible_man said on April 25, 2006 23:55:
Oh Yeah
If you like Infernal check out
DJ Encore feat Engelina - Intuition album (also Danes) - not just dance, fantastic pop album
Rimini Project - Austrian band
Milk Inc - Belgian band
Lasgo - Belgian band
Jessy - Belgian
Kate Ryan - Belgian
Great and melodic Enlgish-speaking modern pop music that makes you move.
pwbbounce (moderator) said on April 26, 2006 07:50:
Not keen. But I think it’s my age!! Music like this has no meaning really. But if it was out around 2000/2001 I probably would’ve brought it. But getting older also means I prefer “proper” music now!!
Claire said on April 26, 2006 08:07:
i wouldnt buy any of these tracks but they are great to dance to. Lasgo were quite big for 5 mins over here in 2002 ish, i liked them.
Invisible_man said on April 26, 2006 10:41:
@pwbbounce
I would rather listen to these artists than to shriveled-up-raisin music of the likes of James Blunt and Keane lol :-O
And one is never too old to dance to melodic dance.
By the way all of the artists I mentioned have great ballads in addition to dance trax......which actually makes them very close to Roxette’s formula ;-)
pwbbounce (moderator) said on April 26, 2006 11:02:
can’t I have my opinion??
And I’m sorry, but Roxette is nothing like these dance acts. I don’t think a lot of people here would agree with you on that comment
Invisible_man said on April 26, 2006 16:32:
pwbbounce, please spare me the laughter
Roxette was never considered a respectable act, that’s why even amazon relates them to Aqua.
If you were into more so called “intellectual” pop music of the 80’s you would probably listen to Eurithmics or Fleetwood mac or Berlin or Prince or what not.... but Roxette is bubblegum, they are and have always been.
And putting Roxette on some sort of pedestal, and at the same time dissing Lasgo or Infernal is pathetic and contradictory, cuz in the core of it all it’s all rather shallow euro-pop. The only difference is that bands that I mentioned are young and making more modern-sounding music.... same thing Roxette was doing in the mid 80’s.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Sylver, they are fab!
And No, unsupported “opinions” that put down other music are not allowed LOL :-O
davidc4 said on April 26, 2006 16:33:
AQUA?????BLOOMIN AQUA HOW DARE THEY ONLY DID THAT COZ OF THE AREA
Invisible_man said on April 26, 2006 16:38:
lol and what area would that be?
Shallow bubblegum-pop?
Heh Heh Hey, if you have a problem with that, write a letter to amazon..
davidc4 said on April 26, 2006 16:43:
well roxette are swedish and aqua danish so people seem to put them in the same catagory cheesy
kachina008 said on April 26, 2006 17:10:
only reason why people categorize roxette as bubblegum pop is because of the songs that play on the radio. If they would hear every song Per and Marie have written, they will realize that this isn’t so.
Now let’s play nice shall we? :P
pwbbounce (moderator) said on April 26, 2006 17:27:
let’s get back to the point.
I never said that Rox weren’t bubblegum. That wasn’t what I was saying.
Roxette = power pop.
Aqua - cheesy dance music.
They’re not the same thing, but people have classified them together because of the publics opinion of them. I wasn’t arguing about what people thought, was arguing my own opinion. Roxette are better than the dance acts like Lasgo, Aqua etc....
ThePopHits said on April 26, 2006 19:14:
you left me longin’ for you,
you left me longin’ for youuu!!
Invisible_man said on April 26, 2006 22:01:
pwbbounce,
power pop, really I don’t know what that means.
That so called “cheesey dance band” had a song on Sliding Doors soundtrack, was nothing cheesey about that, very masterful pop song.
This conversation kind of reminds me of what people said about ABBA and still do... fluffy euro disco. But the fact remains they were able to Consistently come up with better melodies than anyone in rock or pop of that day.... Cheesey dance band with bad lyrics?.... yeah, whatever you say.
Same goes for Lasgo or Sylver or Infernal.... great stuff that lifts you up.
rox-kuryliw said on April 26, 2006 22:26:
i love keane me :-) pwb, you about 26 27 28 ish ?
ps i have no idea what u look like. its just a guess off top of me head. Im 24 and love cheesy crap and buy it, well cheese within reason, anything with a great beat and pumping chorus.
pwbbounce (moderator) said on April 27, 2006 11:03:
@PopHits - what you on about?? :-))
@Kachina - THANKS!!!
@Rox-K - I’m 26
@Invisble - people just like different things. That’s what makes life so interesting!!!! :-))
ThePopHits said on April 27, 2006 19:55:
Dance music is for dancing! Doesnt matter if the lyrics are cheese or not.
ThePopHits said on April 28, 2006 18:59:
ladies and gentlemen the video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=f8VoTam3gxQ
she´s HOT.
kachina008 said on April 29, 2006 07:08:
yeh well Madonna’s new dance album is full of goopy cheese. Is it some kinda rule that you can’t have a dance song without cheesy lyrics?!
Invisible_man said on April 29, 2006 13:10:
“Cheesy” is a very relative term. As if rock did not have cheesey lyrics.... Def Leppard, Bon Jovi all had lots of it. So it’s not just dance
But not all dance artists are good. Many actually suck. Here is my list of the ones that do suck:
Cascada - only covers, no originality
Groove Coverage - same thing, cheap covers
DJ Sammy - Covvers, covers.
Madonna- never liked her, and her UK dance stuff and rip off of ABBA make me mad
There are some others as well.
Also that Belgian band that covered Roxette, they are also lame, with mostly covers.
So not all dance is good either. There are good dance artists writing actually good songs, and really lame ones.
It’s too bad that there are no fans of Sylver and Lasgo here. I think they are terrific :-)
ThePopHits said on April 29, 2006 18:52:
invisible man I DO like both Sylver and Lasgo and esp. Ian Van Dahl.
rox-kuryliw said on May 22, 2006 21:18:
Moved up to number 2 now ! talk about a seller.
first no 3 then 4 then 3 again now 2, very rare in uk charts for songs to do that.
davidc4 said on May 23, 2006 09:17:
its not as rare now that the downloads have been added to the charts.alot more records are climbing than they used to. FPTB went in at #34 on downloads then when the CD came out it shot into the top 5 where it has remained.
rox-kuryliw said on May 23, 2006 09:45:
true , but its the first time its happened in long time, and its proven that u can still get on in the charts without downloads. Although the current no1 is only the 20th person to stay there for 8 weeks.
davidc4 said on May 23, 2006 10:19:
james blunt did it as well as SOS also U2 nd Mary J blige climbed up with One a few weeks back.even Daz Sampson went up 1 place this week with teenage life. 5 songs have climbed in the top 40 this week. the downloads have slowed down the fall of alot of singles where songs used to go in and nosedive straight out alot more will fall slower and stay on the charts longer which is a good thing.its also keeping things at #1 longer and helping things climb to #1 like orsons No Tomorrow which climbed up to #1 a few months back.
rox-kuryliw said on May 23, 2006 13:57:
i never said it didnt ? but all im was saying is that its rare for a artist to go up down up down and then even further up. its not common. derrr
davidc4 said on May 23, 2006 15:11:
it is becoming extremely common for songs to go down and then back up i could name at least a dozen that have done it in the last month
rox-kuryliw said on May 23, 2006 16:31:
name away (i sitll know im right) - , and i think its more great as its from a unknown dutch group and its one of the hardest markets to crack.
from infernal website news
Infernal #3 in the UK this week!
People have told us that it is impossible. Yet we did it - we moved up a spot in the single sales chart. With sales that exceeds 30.000 copies in one week we are now officially #3 - and we’re thrilled! Thanx to all you guys who went out and bought the single.
that was 30.4.06 so they must be over moon after it went back down again and now jumped up to 2 .
ThePopHits said on May 23, 2006 21:27:
UK chart... fastest moving chart in Europe! (source: MTV).
Have you guys heard “Keen On Disco” by Infernal? It´s as catchy as “Berlin song”!
rox-kuryliw said on May 23, 2006 21:31:
its does move so fast , shocking how , i think the hope downloads will slow it down. only time will tell.
i love that song :-)
check out cheap trick kinda girl by infernal aswell, its great.
davidc4 said on May 24, 2006 08:41:
our charts are the fastest moving as we buy cds more regularly and release alot of singles each week.other countries combine airplay with sales which we dont.if we included airplay along with the downloads and sales it would probably keep songs higher for longer.but the downloads have already helped this.look at Crazy #1 for 8 weeks.i never thoght id see that happening again.
