Travelling!

spooks: you lived in Oxford??? my home city :)

Anyone done any travelling before, you know for long amounts of time, couple of months etc….

I’d be curious to know where you went? What you saw?

Does relocating to live with a divorced parent for a bit count?

I think so! :)

I spent 2 years in England. Didn’t see much beyond where I lived: Oxford and Framlingham Castles (they were local). Heathrow going in and out. RAF Woodbridge (where my dad was stationed) and Bentwaters. RAF Lakenheath and Mildenhall (where my step-mom had to go for test on her back).

2 years in Florida at Hurlburt Field (extension of Eglin AFB), Fort Walton Beach area which is about 30 minutes outside of Pennsicola NAS.

8 months in Salisbury, North Carolina for various family issues.

1 year in El Paso, Texas, living with an aunt and uncle and saw Carlsbad Caverns, NM.

Wow cool, seen some good places there LS! :)

I hope to finally get out of Europe this year!

No... my mistake... it was supposed to read Orford castle. I can’t spell at the moment.

Awww Vix was getting excited then!

my girl and I travelled for 2 weeks around some parts of Italy. We flew in to Venice for 2 nights so beautiful and romantic then train to Verona (Romeo and Juliet) THE WINE THERE IS AMAZING...then train to Rome for 3-4 days and of course did all the sites (our legs ached so much but was so worth it)...met up with some old freinds who then drove us down to Pompei and the Almafi Coast. I think we spent 10 days on that trip...
soon off to South Africa, Australia and New Zealand though for 10 months - but ive already mentioned that a few times on discussion so I went go into it again!!!!!

I’m 29 and I have never gone on holidays.

@natasha1 :

My dream is to do the same travelling as you did with your GF. Lucky you!

two summers in a row (roughly 3 months) i travelled from the atlantic to the pacific and saw everything in between(except the northeast). then a few years later, i went back home to germany twice and went to sweden and england(london...absolutely loved it!) all in just over 12 months. i’m ready to travel again but school keeps me grounded. =(
