Room_service said on February 20, 2006 14:54:
The CD was only released in Germany, as long as I know.
Vixzter said on February 20, 2006 20:07:

purplemedusa said on February 21, 2006 05:28:

purplemedusa said on February 24, 2006 12:06:
Super kewl... finally got a copy secured for myself!!
Anyone else got another spare copy they’re wishing to sell – our friend Ted is seriously looking for one!!
Room_service said on February 24, 2006 15:55:
Ted? Something I don’t understand... He’s from Sweden, I guess that CD is not so hard to get there. I got a copy 2 years ago, in mint condition, from a fan that was selling her Roxette items. And it was very cheap! And I am from Argentina, I guess it’s easier to get there in Europe.
ATLTK said on February 24, 2006 18:01:
the cd is german and out of print so its hard for everyone to get
per_mson said on February 24, 2006 20:44:
If you have patience it is not that hard to get and not expensive. Found a spare copy (which I have sold already) last year for 20 SEK.
Room_service said on February 25, 2006 04:32:
Yes. Who else is going to buy such a bad album? Just the Roxette fans!
purplemedusa said on February 25, 2006 07:54:
Excuse me... Mamas Barn is NOT a bad album - it was highly recomended by critics of the time and the album surely defines an era in music history! I must say it’s one of my favourite Roxette-related projects!
Jud (moderator) said on February 25, 2006 10:10:
purp: I love the album, the two ballads by Marie are incredible, and the pop/punk (or whatever that style should be) songs like Marlene are great, love to hear Marie shout around :D
Vixzter said on February 25, 2006 11:21:
i didn’t think £5 was a bad price!
i mustve had it for about 10 years or so and back when the internet was in its embryonic state you had to get cds and stuff from other sources and pay more than things are going for now.
@purps: hope you enjoy the cd mate, i posted it yesterday :-)
it isn’t that bad an album just sounds a bit dated these days but marie’s voice is great on it.
purplemedusa said on February 25, 2006 11:37:
Hey thanx Vixz!!
Judes, yeah so glad that i can toss the bloody tacky copied CD finally - but honestly I love the Punk/New Wave feel of the recordings... Marie’s youthfull energy was a bloody good indication that she would conquer many people’s hearts! Just a pitty that so little of the Punk influences remained in the releases to follow – same goes with Gyllene Tider’s first album which i also adore!!
Imagine Roxette returning this year with a Punk EP... wouldn’t that just be sooo cool?
Jud (moderator) said on February 25, 2006 11:42:
:D I also love GT first 2 albums.. those guitars.. that mix of pop and punk... a Roxette album in that style? I would not say no to a rockier/punkier album :) Marie can sing anything she wants so that would surely not be a problem :)
Room_service said on February 25, 2006 14:27:
I don’t like that style. Only the Marie penned ballads on the Mamas Barn album are ok. The other songs are just HORRIBLE :-s
She shouts too much, that’s a bit annoying.
purplemedusa said on February 25, 2006 14:36:
It could also be that you’re not exactly used to a more alternative & experimental sounds... but I guess it wouldve been rather boring if everyone agreed on everything
Room_service said on February 25, 2006 20:07:
So, when she released Het Vind I think it was a step in the right direction. Punky style doesn’t fit her much.
Many Swedish people (not only Roxette fans) told me the Mamas Barn lyrics are awful. By the way, what’s Hajsalasse and Tracksnubbe?
ally77 said on February 25, 2006 21:52:
You sold it for £6.... I would have given you £20 for that! :)
purplemedusa said on February 26, 2006 16:40:
Then you can GIVE me the LP Ted, seeing that you don’t like it!!
Vixzter said on February 26, 2006 17:51:
ive got the LP too but i’m not sure i want to part with that cos i’m a bit attached to my vinyl ;-)
unless of course i recieve an offer i can’t refuse ;-)
ATLTK said on February 26, 2006 18:06:
Actually i had the opurtunity to buy 2 lps on the same day in my local second hand store - sold the other to judith
sandyam said on February 26, 2006 18:27:
I like the album every now and then.
I don’t listen to it regulary, though.
Unfortunatly I only have the cd. I am still looking for the vinyl...
Jud (moderator) said on February 26, 2006 18:46:
yes I got my Mamas Barn LP from Ted, one of the few items I’ve bought in the last 3-4 years! (besides the new stuff)
purplemedusa said on February 26, 2006 20:12:
How does a night with steamy lesbian sex sound? (And no I’m not talking about myself!!)
Vixzter said on February 27, 2006 17:05:

Vixzter said on March 28, 2006 16:24:
