My Top-100 Survey Result

Your stats are really interesting indeed! What I find the most interesting about this chart and your stats is that we the fans, have actually shown or reflected our favorite songs by how popular Roxette was worldwide with each album. Interesting enough, the Joyride Album did the best on this chart. And each following album did slightly worse..
What I find to be interesting about this is that we always say, Roxette is still as good as they used to be and maybe even better! If they are, why is the 15 year old Joyride album charting the best on this album chart? Doesn’t this show that we the fans agree with the rest of the world; Roxette is not as good as they used to be???
This is not my opinion, just food for thought..

Some of you may (or may not) be able to remember that as far back as two or three years ago on this site among others, I started a thread asking for people to submit their top 10 favourite Roxette songs lists. You can view this thread here: http://www2.dailyroxette.com/smalltalk/thread.php/8181 ...and vote in it also if you haven’t already. Note that if you want to change your list (if posted previously) please do NOT edit your old reply, but please post a new reply with your changed list, remembering to state that it actually is a changed list. Thanks so much! :)

My promise was to compile all of it together, and now as promised, here is the top 100.

NOTE: So far this top 100 is made up from 216 top-10 lists and is correct as of 15 September 2006.

NB!!: As of 19 March 2006 I am no longer including alternate versions (live/unplugged/etc...) and the list has now been updated to reflect this! :)

Enjoy!

NOTES:

Lists submitted at:
Daily Roxette
Run To Roxette
ABBAMAIL
...and others.

Calculations were made as follows:
On each top 10 list submitted, a number 1 song received 10 points and a number 2 song received 9 points...etc, then all points were added together for each song.
THEN...: the amounts of lists each song appeared on was counted. The more lists the song appeared on, the higher their position on this chart. If two songs or more appeared on the same number of lists, they were ordered according to their number of points.

EXAMPLES:
Song A receives 27 votes and has 150 points.
Song B receives 27 votes and has 134 points.
Song C receives 26 votes and has 151 points.

The order they would appear on the list would be “A, B, C”. This is because although song C received more points than both others, it appeared on less lists. If song C had appeared on one more list, however, it would have done better (and been listed higher) than both songs A and B.

I have now collated all additional song versions (live/demo/unplugged etc) with their original songs so there’s been a slight shuffle around in activity though nothing too major. Thanks guys all for your beautiful comments of appreciation, they really do mean a lot!! Thanks and hugs! xxxx

im glad run to you has done so well but was surprised i dont want to get hurt was as low

OK thanks for your continued support guys.
After a while it’s becoming clear there is indeed great variety in the consensus we’re establishing here.
It’s very nice just to see such a nice bunch of friendly Roxette fans all being able to enjoy their music together, despite there being “variance” in it here and there as such (or as described by some people).

Cheers!
