Both Per and Marie stated shortly ago they were looking forward to do something together again!
It was somewhere on the SOAP-forum, and if I am not mistaken it was also on TDR.

LOL @ Per_mson. I agree, I think they might get together for some half-assed reunion, but I seriously think the old Roxette days are behind them. Forgetting Marie’s illness for a moment, they are both nearly 50 and I’m not sure that Roxette is a band like the Stones who can keep going into old age. They’ve both said in the past that it would be weird to be singing The Look in their 60’s.
I think Per would never give up, but seems to me that Marie is over the whole thing, illness or no illness. I think she would have been quitting in the next few years regardless.

mh, i doubt they will ever actually say “Roxette is over”; why should they close all doors? Roxette was so much fun (ok, and lots of work), but it means very much to both of them.
And when they’re 100 years old... if they are still able to sing, they will sing the look and all other songs (why not!?)
And what about being 50+? Look at Per; his shape is better than ever before. There could - just forgetting Marie’s illness for a moment - many many years with Roxette come.
In the end, we only can wait and see what time will bring. I just hope so much to see them back on stage as Roxette again. Please come back, i miss you!!! ;-)

I agree, a new CD would be good. Tour would be (drop down faint) nice, but I don’t think it will happen, but on a more positive note it could work as reverse psychology heeheehee. But thats only if Rox a) want to, and b) feel up to it.
Much as I would love to see them, I wouldn’t feel happy if they didn’t wanna do it in the first place.

Well, Marie recently said she’d love to get on stage with rox again, but not in the stressful way of their earlier tours. So hope is there!

1) There’s no new material (there’s just another compilation, with two new songs).
2) There’s no willingness to tour or do some promo abroad.
3) There’s no official fanclub.

In my opinion the single (OW) and the 2 albums (GH, RB) will go the following way in the German Top100:
OW: 38, 42, 76, 82, 86, out
GH: 26, 56, 62, 80, 90, out
RB: no entry at all

This discussion is totally pointless since Roxette’s Comeback is already a fact:
1. They release a brandnew single.
2. They produce a high-budget video.
3. They do an international promo tour.
So what else could you miss except a live-tour? The only question is how big and long Roxette’s presence will be! And Marie seems to be quite positive about a new album...

Look at the date Sascha, this thread was started in January. It’s just been bumped a few times because it’s funny to read it now and see what everyone said 9 months ago.

Yes, actually I believe in a comeback with Roxette. But even if not...well, we had such a great time with them. Of course it would be the greatest to see them in 15 years still like the Rolling Stones. But hey, we had the best days of our life with them.
Just remember the tours in 1991, 1992 and 1994. It was fantastic, but even a hard work especially for Marie. They gave me so much over the years. I still get so much from them: My memories :-) I will never forget the years with them !
But c’mon, it does not mean that everything is over with Roxette. I think there is still so much to come !
Just be patient ! We waited so long for this release this month...
