Chemicals in Fruit

Which is worse? Getting in some chemicals when eating fruit&veg or not eating fruit&veg at all out of fear for these chemicals??

I only eat organic fruit and veg now, have done for months, as we have a really good fruit and veg shop near me that sells nothing but organic stuff, and it’s prices are way cheaper than the supermarket. I got into the routine of going up every weekend, but now they do a delivery service. I now get a big selection of stuff delivery weekly for around £13, sometimes I’ll pay more if I want more stuff!
We also have a farmers market held not far from me every couple of weeks, that’s good for a lot of home made stuff!

if you really want organic fruit go to a farmers market...most of them grow their fruits and vegetables right on the land they sell from. My issues with certified organic food is as soon as its processed..aka packaging lables etc it stops being organic no matter what anyone says and not for nothing but you ingest so many chemicals from water and the air itself that it really doesn’t make that much of a difference anyway unless you are noticing serious health issues

No ok fair enough..organic bla bla yeah. But what i meant was like mmm.. if you weigh up the benefits of the nutrients with the negatives of the chemicals then is it still better eating the fruit than not? Dunno if i’m making sense here.

Yes, it is. Mainly because the chemicals they are allowed to use can not be extremely bad to you, they’re regulated by laws in each country (guess in our EU they have some common stuff), and things for human consumption must pass lots of tests to get the approval.
And fruit... well, they say it’s good. It’s better to eat it than not to do. Cuz otherwise where do you get all those vitamines you’ll be missing if you don’t? From vitamin complexes that are nearly 100% synthetized chemicals? Wouldn’t that be a contradiction if you did so?

So the nutritional benefits outweighs the chemicals. That is what i feel too :) i think fruit is very very important.

i used to live on fruit but it damaged my theet you need vegtables too, for the minerals

The latter. If you’re worried then you could introduce some organic fruit into your diet (dilution effect). Good luck, Rich ;-)
