Bon Jovi - Have A Nice Day World Tour
pwbbounce said on December 20, 2005 12:16:
Well, the tour has been on the road now storming it’s way across America for a month or so and seems to be their biggest since the 80’s, with predicted profits of over $100,000,000. Not bad for a band who many thought were over 10 years ago.
Has anyone seen this show yet? Or has anyone got any tickets for the tour? I’m off to the Wembley Stadium show on June 11th. Can’t wait.
Up to date setlists can be found on www.bonjovi.com if anyone is interested. Seems to be playing all the major hits (even Always!) Only one thing missing - Lay Your Hands On Me. :-(
Also just a little info: 2nd Single worldwide (apart from USA) is Welcome To Wherever You Are - released on January 9th in the UK. America is going with the country-fied version of Who Says You Can’t Go Home
tevensso (moderator) said on December 20, 2005 19:30:
Welcome was released in Sweden yesterday, according to CDON. Where can I find the info about the US single?
Vixzter said on December 20, 2005 23:47:
I’d reply to this but for fear of having my pointless comment deleted too!
;-)
pwbbounce (moderator) said on December 21, 2005 07:59:
@ Rox-k - Number 2 in the album chart isn’t good?? It’s done the same as One Wild Night, Bounce and This left Feels Right
@ Tev - have a look on their website re Who Says... It’s got some girl from a band called Sugarland singing with it. Haven’ heard that version yet. I’m not sure when it’s out though over there.
pwbbounce (moderator) said on December 21, 2005 09:44:
Obviously the pointless comment deleted was another moan about the band. Not sure why people take the piss (excuse my language) all the time. I know everyone can’t like every artist/band, but at least appreciate what they’ve acheived. 100,000,000+ albums sold, 2500+ shows performed, seen by 32m+ people, they’ve gotta be doing something right...??
Yeah maybe his voice isn’t as strong as it used to be, but I can name far worse singers who shouldn’t be on the stage!
I know everyones entitled to their own opinion, but if you see a thread you don’t like, why go into it? (Not getting at you there Vix!)
rox-kuryliw said on December 21, 2005 09:58:
pwbbounce num 2 is good, but i went out the chart so fast (didnt expect it togo that fast) , thats all im saying .
pwbbounce (moderator) said on December 21, 2005 10:15:
I think it was around for 7-8 weeks in the charts. Yeah, not as good as earlier records, but seems to be the average nowadays for most artists. Also, many of the albums sold are now downloaded, so the chart positions are effected. Actually CD sales are down, as we know, but downloads are up.
Anyway this is a thread on the tour, so let’s discuss that!!
coyboyusa said on December 21, 2005 13:50:
lol vix i thought that was rather rude of the moderator so let me expand on my early morning yawn, how can you album bubble under platinum status since its release, vanish off of the billboard top 40 in less than 2 months and that justifies a world tour?
pwbbounce (moderator) said on December 21, 2005 15:18:
not worth a comment cbusa. with a band the following the size that they’ve got, they don’t even have to release an album to go on the road!
Vixzter said on December 21, 2005 15:21:
i’d like to get my hands on a few seating tickets to go see ewm in Southampton but they’re like gold dust :-(

Nickleback have announced that they are supporting Bon Jovi on the UK dates. Not sure about the rest of Europe yet. Not too bad. I have their albums, but don’t listen to them that often
Speedo said on January 7, 2006 15:16:
Nickleback is also the support act in Nijmegen, The Netherlands
Oliver said on January 8, 2006 21:02:
Great choice: Nickelback as support act! I’m really happy about this. We’re going to Munich (sold out = 70’000), Berne (not sold out yet; some standing places left), and yes, maybe Innsbruck. That would be cool. One show in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Will there be more Roxers on these B.J. dates? I think Have a nice day is one of their best albums (even if it didn’t chart well; that’s the influence of rap and hip hop ...)

OFFICIAL, CONFIRMED NEWS on BON JOVI: WEMBLEY STADIUM SHOWS
(Thursday, March 30, 2006)
this is the official press release just issued:
BON JOVI - THE SHOW WILL GO ON
US Icons announce alternative venue to hold their June 10th and 11th shows
Just like Wembley only different
London, March 31st, 2006. – Fans who have bought tickets to see Bon Jovi’s first tour in over 3 years will not be disappointed - they will still get to see one of the world’s greatest rock bands live!
Promoters AEG Live have confirmed that the two June dates, originally planned for Wembley Stadium, will now be taking place in the world renowned Milton Keynes National Bowl. After contact with Wembley it is evident that the Stadium will not be ready for the Bon Jovi shows in June. Therefore to ensure that Bon Jovi’s fans are not disappointed, AEG Live And Bon Jovi have decided to move the shows to Milton Keynes.
Bon Jovi’s success has been punctuated through the years by numerous sell out shows at The Bowl. It’s therefore only fitting that they should return to UK’s leading outdoor venue which has supported them throughout their career and where they feel right at home.
“Having closed the original Wembley Stadium, it would have been a fitting honor to open the new one,” says Jon Bon Jovi. “However, the most important element was always the live concerts themselves. So while the location may have changed, the celebration will remain the same. Thank you to our fans - for your loyalty and your patience. We’ll see you for two great nights of rock ’n’ roll at Milton Keynes.”
The HAVE A NICE DAY tour is the band’s first in 3 years. The European leg will kick off in on May 13th in Germany moving onto Ireland and then Holland - with the final stages here in the UK. Joining them on tour are Canadian rock band Nickelback who have stormed the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.
THE FULL UK DATES are as follows:
* June 3rd 2006 - Hampden Park Stadium, Glasgow
* June 4th 2006 - City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester
* June 7th 2006 - Ricoh Arena, Coventry
* June 9th 2006 - The Friends Provident St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton
* June 10th 2006 – The Bowl, Milton Keynes
* June 11th 2006 - The Bowl, Milton Keynes
Tickets are available from the 24-Hour hotline: 0870 405 0448 or online @ www.aeglive.co.uk
All tickets purchased for Wembley are valid for The National Bowl on the respective dates and thus there will be no rebooking required. All customers will be contacted either by email or letter with further information.

Wey hey! Bon Jovi at Milton Keynes last night rocked!
Still gutted it wasnt wembley though but it was nice to chill out and have a little snooze on the grass before Nickleback came on - they rocked big time!
I was disappointed by the sound for the first 1hr or so - it wasnt even loud - not good for a rock concert - maybe it was where i was sitting but the sound got better in the last half of the show....
They did the acoustic version of Always - one of my fav’s.
It was so good to see them back again on UK soil.
Bought the tshirt with the red face on the front and the 2 cowgirl silhouttes - v cool!
Oh and 2 very small ice creams were £7 !!!!
pwbbounce (moderator) said on June 13, 2006 08:09:

And, what about Nickleback. I thought they were excellent!!

THE BON JOVI MYSTERY:
Still no clear indication of what is going on in Bon Jovi land, but if recent reports are accurate - especially the absolutely horrid reviews coming in from the band’s final European show at Hull in the UK - it seems there is definite tension within the band, most likely between frontman Jon Bon Jovi and guitarist Richie Sambora. All the reviews of the Hull show say frontman JBJ could not hide his foul mood on stage and barely acknowledged Richie all night.
I learnt overnight that negotiations with the band to bring them to Moncton, New Brunswick in Canada were well underway before also being abruptly terminated. The band have a handful of North American dates left, culminating in one final show at Giants Stadium, NJ, July 29.
Stay tuned...
