Hello everyone! Just wanted to share this with you guys. Yesterday I was at NK in Stockholm (a big department store) to buy some clothes and other stuff. And there I met Marie, she was at NK signing her new book “After the change”! She looked good and happy, a bit “thin” but she seemed to be alright. Just wanted to share this with everyone here. Take care!
And offcourse I had the buy the book asweell and got it signed;)
(Sorry for my bad english)

Didn’t know about this either! Was it an official signing session like the ones Per is doing now or what? Doesn’t make any diffrence for me ’cos I wouldn’t been able to be there anyway, but it would still have been nice to know about it.

It was a special “member-night” at the NK-department-store, so I guess you couldn’t call it an “official” signing..
I didn’t know about the booksigning until I stood outside the bookdepartment and saw the sign! So i didn’t bring my camera with me.. She looked very happy and how should I describe it.. satisfied and calm maybe. But she was very thin and “small”. Anyway, it was great seeing her (it was actually my first time irl!)

@above: Only on this site? Is there a site that’s reporting all kinds of exciting Marie news I don’t know about?? Please say yes!

Wow that’s great news!!! Good for you!!! But why didn’t we hear that Marie was doing a book signing?? :(

You are so lucky! I am happy for you! I hope Marie will do it (Per too) the same in the future again and we will know about it!!

had we known, we would have reported it of course.. but I suppose that like with the cafe opera thing, they wanted to keep it calm...

WOW You have many luck!!!
It was many people to the signing?

Well this is really good, but I can’t help thinking Marie is being a little cruel keeping everything so secret.... I know she wants to ease into her comeback, but I am sure she knows that many fans would like to see her given a chance!

Amigone, I’m sooo happy for you :))) and very glad you brought us great news about Marie :)
amigone said on December 10, 2005 23:44:
No, it wasn’t much people at all... I suppose because no one really knew about it before.. It wasn’t even any queue when I was there.
(And the people who purchased the book were mostly old ladies in expensive furs and men with hats.. Hmm that was just a parenthesis.)

It’s not TDR’s fault, but couldn’t Marie or Dimberg have mentioned it??? There are a lot of fans in and around Sweden who might have been able to go. I would have been devastated if I was still living in Sweden, sounds like I would have had no clue unless I happened to be in NK that day (and I was hardly ever in the book section when I was there!)
I agree with you Ally...it just seems a bit cruel. Fans are DYING to see her, and here she is performing again, making appearances, and yet fans are not informed until afterwards so they have no chance of seeing her. Should we be taking a hint?
Don’t get me wrong, I worship the woman. I just wonder if she’s trying to tell us something?
Jud (moderator) said on December 11, 2005 10:25:
who knows, maybe she happened to be shopping at NK and decided “Hm.. I feel like signing some of my books” :P
Jud (moderator) said on December 11, 2005 10:33:
This could be like one of those concerts Per gave for those companies, something private, not part of promotion or alike, so it might be that NK didn’t want to announce it everywhere and have it special (or even as a surprise?) only for NK members/customers.
We got to know about those 2 concerts Per gave privately before, but nobody who was not an employee of those companies could go there (some fans were lucky because they did know an employee with a ticket ;)). Hadn’t those fans told us about those shows, I’m afraid we would have got to know a) afterwards or b) never.
I don’t think it’s fair either to blame Marie or Dimberg on something we don’t know the whole story about. And if they decided to keep it calm, they must have their reasons. Marie wouldn’t talk about a Roxette comeback if she wouldn’t want to meet her fans again (remember she told TDR that she misses her fans ;)) - because with Roxette she will have to ;)

If that was a private and close event from the shop, don´t know why complain, nothing cruel on it...
Now it seem we´ll have a public signing session 14 december (see TDR frontpage); so the news can be spread around and the fans can join her.
A pitty I can´t have my beautiful and superb “After the change” copy. That would be great. Isn´t there anyone who would like to make happy a big brazilian Marie-fan and pay me a trip to Sweden? 0:)
:P

Lucky you ! I can imagine how happy you are right now ! Did you take any pix on her ?
I guess, there are many fans who wants to know how she does look there ! :-)
I did not know that she would sign her book ??? I mean, I did not know that it is her style to sign books in stores ? Maybe I’m wrong. :-/
