chippy205 said on December 7, 2005 03:22:
are you in favor or not about the SAME GENDER marriage will become allowed in the sosciety? defend your Opinion.
well, it happens here in our country once and guess what? y’know what i mean, it was televised.
NOTE: Apology to all gay and lesbian. I have no intention to hurt one feeling.
have a good time!!!

I think it’s good because you get all the “benefits” as a man/woman marriage. When I say benefits I mean Next of Kin, father rights etc... Just because you’re gay why should it be any different. Shame it’s taken so long though
silverROSES said on December 7, 2005 09:37:
well I’m pro choice so as long as it makes the two people happy!
ncurran said on December 7, 2005 11:24:
i’m definitely for it. The only argument against it is for religious reasons, but that argument is pretty much irrelevant anyway, as marriage is in most circumstances not a religious institution anymore. I couldnt care less if a church refused to marry gay people, that is their prerogative, but the gay couple should have a right to a civil ceremony and enjoy the same legal rights as a straight couple
silverROSES said on December 7, 2005 12:13:
I was wondering when was the first homosexual people discovered!
roxlad said on December 7, 2005 12:23:
The question is when did society decide it wasn’t right and made them hide!!!
WorldFalls said on December 8, 2005 11:31:
Yes, of course I’m pro gay marriage! I hope to marry the girl I love someday! :o) I don’t think it will happen anytime soon here in the US, but I can keep dreaming.
Debora said on December 8, 2005 18:15:
I’m totally in favour, if you are happy and you want to get married I think the important thing is what you feel and not if you are with a person of your same sex.

Judith you could always come to the UK to make it official...
Jud (moderator) said on December 8, 2005 21:00:
also in Spain.. but then it’s not valid in Austria anyway..
rox-kuryliw said on December 8, 2005 21:40:
everyone should have the same human rights as everyone else. If black people and chinese people can marry why cant gay people, they (i) cant help we are, just as no one else can. love is love why is it a bad thing ?
Debora said on December 10, 2005 18:45:
You’re right, everybody must have the same rights and you’re right twice: Love is Love no matter if your are black, white, yellow, man or woman...
wafer_thin said on December 10, 2005 22:55:
I’m not really in favor of government regulated marriage, gay or straight.
But gay folks should have the same rights as everyone else - it shouldn’t be anyone else’s business, and people should mind their own business.
Is anyone gonna see the movie “Brokeback Mountain”? I read the story by Annie Proulx, it really illustrates the pains that gay people have felt in the past because their lifestyle was not tolerated. I think the world is getting a lot better on this issue but we still have a long way to go to create a more tolerant world!
reighin_nicolai said on December 12, 2005 02:58:
i am AGAINST it!!!
why? “we cant sew a dress with two needles” neither two tread”
we can only sew a cloth if we have a needle and a thread:)
see,
pwbbounce (moderator) said on December 12, 2005 09:16:
I think peoples lives are a little different to a needle and a thread!!!
rox-kuryliw said on December 12, 2005 11:00:
for a start i dont were a dress lol, plus if i did have a hole in me dress i just wear it so it would show my arse lol who needs thread. Ill let you off your from France, full of historical predjudice and still so from what my sister tells me (she lives in there)
coyboyusa said on December 13, 2005 15:58:
i think gay marriage is a big step backwards for gay rights. Whats the point of being able to marry a man if in most countires peopel can still murder you and get off. In america its pointless cause individual states and townships can choose not to recognize the marriage. I’d rather see a gay rights ammendemnt to the usa constitution before people go all gaga over marriage. Yeah I understand about the need to share pensions and child custoidy, but in alot of parts of the usa that can be done legally thought shared wills, power of attorney etc.,
pardek said on December 13, 2005 22:03:
...good point, coyboy. I didn’t know that this marriage doesn’t mean that much in every state/town. But i wouldn’t say that it’s a “step backwards”; for me it still goes into the right direction; at least a bit.
It’s easier (especially for conservative people) to get used to something like this if it happens with small steps. And, as we know, many small steps can make a big thing, too, can’t they?
reighin_nicolai said on December 14, 2005 07:32:
@ pwbbounce
the needle is the female
the thread is the male
the cloth is the baby of thier combined flesh and blood:)
sewing a cloth into a dress====> making a human!!!

Okay makes sense but very outdated..... if two people love each other regardless of there sex.... why should anyone else interfere with that....
rox-kuryliw said on December 14, 2005 09:02:
ow lord its not all about making babies, think thats a huge problem with society as a whole, to many people having babies here there and everywhere and fucking up the kids lives (sorry for the the swearing)cos they have nothing else to do or think thats what the should do. Its about quality more so than quantity.
pwbbounce (moderator) said on December 14, 2005 09:28:
I did know what you mean Reighin, you were using a metaphore, well done for that, but all I’m saying is that you can’t compare human lives to anything. Broaden your mind a little bit and imagine you’re gay, and someone was saying that you couldn’t get married or have the same rights as a straight couple, just because you happened to like the same sex??
But they’re are some people that are never gonna like the idea of it, whatever people say
rox-kuryliw said on December 14, 2005 10:19:
true. I think its really hard for people to understand its not a choice, people think it is a choice.(just waiting to move out to tell my folks! !) But all gay people KNOW it isnt a choice, thats what i find hardest. like being born black or white you cant choose.
coyboyusa said on December 14, 2005 15:44:
so if a gay man and a lesbian have intercourse and have a baby, but get married to other men and or women technically because they procreated that makes them human in the eyes of god? its amazing how ignorant alot of religious guidelines are, and I don’t mean to defame them but in the face of logic how can anyone stand by them.
LittleSpooky said on December 14, 2005 18:25:
Who said anything about gay people getting together for the “sole purpose of having a child”? In my opinion, I think that there are enough people on this planet. Who’s going to care for those that are abandonded / orphaned / etc?
That’s one of the reasons I think gays should be allowed to adopt. I know several that would make FANTASTIC parents. Better than mine did.
pardek said on December 14, 2005 20:56:
...very good replies to Reighin’s message! good on ya, mates.
Once, I heard wise words...let me think
“Flesh & blood is all. Flesh and blood will always be The Law.”
Mh.., no. ah! they went like this:
“Love is all. Love will always be The Law.”
These words are so damn right.

Some of you might know that South African constitution gave the go-ahead for same-sex marriages on the 1st (however this new development would only be inplace by next year this time... pffff!!). Anyways, naturally this debate is very hot in the media at the moment... and generally it’s the religious institutions with the objections. Some claim that homosexuality is a “reversal of the natural order, a moral disorder and that it leads to the destruction of family life...”. In my opinion those claims are very outdated and infact there’s more proof of the reverse. Nontheless, sitting back & watching the mud fights makes for a rather entertaining show!!

***Did you know that as much at 55 % of geese live in gay couples ! The female geese try to get between the 2 males when mating to get pregant, i didnt know that until i read it in a science book (fact, look it up very interesting). Thats nature. Who says whats nature or not, man seems to say it not nature its self. Its just people using religon as a grand reason for everything, hating someone , war ect ect.
plus if it comes to war, i have better fist fighting stills than 3 stright me put togeather lol.
LittleSpooky - i think the scary thing is i dont drink :-O just mad mawhahahaha !
RuRoxLove said on December 17, 2005 12:52:
I want to say that such right, to get married with the same gender person, could give more righs and not just for gays but for EVERY person. Maybe most never use this possibility, but it’s good to FEEL free and get a bit more rights )))
RuRoxLove said on December 17, 2005 13:04:
Gay can get married everywhere in the world - almost nowhere any person cannot get married the same gender person.
That means that gay has no less rights, that means that everybody has no wide opportunities.
That means that homosexual relationships have less rights in our society...
I just think there’s NOTHING BAD in homosexual marriage, so I think that must be realised such opportunity, ’cos THIS CAN HURT NOONE :-)

Congratulations to Elton John – I just read online that she got married yesterday.
LittleSpooky said on December 7, 2005 04:35:
I think if a couple is happy, whether it’s male / female, male / male, female / female: Go for it. Most gay people I used to work with have long term partners and are happy. A few aren’t in ltrs (long term relationships), and that’s cool too.
