I just got sent a edit of the song ’anyone’ by a friend from germany , and he said its off a complication album there, and its down as ’anyone (video edit) ’ I like it, makes it abit more sad in a way but beautiful.

As long as I remember, the “radio edit” was released on the European promo-single. I think this version was taken from that CD.
Edited: Sorry. I’ve downloaded it, and it’s 4.46 long. The edit on the promo is 3.59, and the album version is 4.31. So, I wouldn’t call it “edit”, since it’s longer. I have no idea where this version came from.

As for the alternate playback versions, they are most likely just that. I think I remember that alternate “Anyone” playback edit and loved it. It’s been so long since I’ve heard it, however.
A lot of songs with fade-out endings that are performed live often have a different way of ending since live performances don’t just fade out. I highly doubt they were ever officially released on any commercial single/release. They were used for promotion only and will probably remain hidden in EMI’s vaults forever. :( So much excellent promo/rare material is out there that never sees the light of day, unfortunately. :/
