Chances - The Dancehall Mix

I heard this version of Chances, one of my favourite Roxette songs, ages ago. I think it adds so much to the album version, it’s awesome.

I’ve only seen it for exorbitant prices at eil.com and the like which is a shame because it’s definitely something I’d like to get my hands on! Was it ever released on CD, or is it only on 12” vinyl?

i’ve never had the opportunity to hear this mix. i LOVE chances -the video was also so stunning, marie looked SO amazing, and from wat you guys are saying, the Dancehall Mix is better (how can that be possible? lol) but the remix MUST be available somewhere (besides the vinyl)? if not on CD, then perhaps someone uploaded it as mp3, because lets face it, the few copies of the vinyl that are available are way beyond our price ranges! (certainly is beyond mine!) does ANYONE have it?

The bit I love most (that I can recall) is about 2/3 way through. Per and Marie just sing “Chances”, it echoes, and there is a really nice instrumental part with a keyboard I think. For some reason, it seemed a bit sad, but beautiful, at the time, but it’s been so long since I heard it!

Since it’s a very old remix and so difficult to find (ie. you can’t just go in a shop and buy it!) I can upload an MP3 of it if anybody has a space. The song is more than 8 minutes long so it will be about 12MB at 192Kbps I think.

and @ThePopHits yes, chances was released as a single on vinyl... and its among the most expensive releases ive ever seen! lol. because it features the Chances Dancehall mix (which features on no other release), and of course ordinary Chances, and Silver Blue. it has the same cover as one of the dressed for success singles (that one where Marie is wearing a red dress and she’s smiling at Per -he’s wearing a black suit and tie carrying a guitar, blue sky in the background -VERY beautiful cover - love it!!)

The file comes in a .rar archive split in three parts of about 4MB each. This way it’s easier to download.

The song comes directly from my record player connected to my PC. I bought this 12” record many many years ago and was very expensive for that time (about 25 Euros). I believe now you can find it for 75-100 Euros. Some shops in Rome still have it (used).

Hi, yes there’s no problem, I know two different shops that had it, that was 1 and a half years ago but vynils are not requested a lot so maybe if you’re lucky they still have it. I believe it will be 100,00 Euros though. I’ll check and let you know the exact price. They also had the Italian issue of Dance Passion LP and Neverending love 7” if you’re interested.

I usually don’t bother with fan remixes but for this song there’s a good fan remix called DJ Cobra Remix, very up tempo and cool! Anybody heard it?

ow i see , you can only download it 8 times, yousendit is on for a week and can download howmany times you want !
