Finally Alanis’ cover version of Seal / Adamski’s classic is finally out today in the UK form the forthcoming Best Of collection. Should be a hit!:-)

I have heard the song yesterday and I was thinking: “WOW!”. I think, it sounds perfectly and suits to her voice.
I never thought that she would cover a song of someone else, because she is a perfect songwriter.
Will try to buy the CD when it’s released. :-))

I’m a big fan of Alanis but I’ve always hated greatest hits albums. And I agree with Kiwien - only one new song?? I think GH albums are an insult to fans who already have all these songs, at least put in a bonus disc or DVD or something. I won’t be rushing out to get it, maybe when it goes down to $10 or something.

MD I agree with you (for a second u sounded like me LOL!) but if i do decide to buy the album it would be for tracks like ’Merci’ off the Prayer Cycle album (which has since been deleted here - such an awesome album BTW), Still & Let’s do it! Those are not-so-obvious tracks and absolute gems if you ask me!!

its probably maverick records trying to recoup money from her last 2 underselling records, how she can go and bastardize a song by seal is beyond me, seals version had menaing and the mans voice has an aged soul behind it, alanis sounds like avril lavigne on a vibrating bed in this horrible cover, someone should egg her

I got the collection and it is worth it - there’s a couple of excellent soundtrack songs whih she did.....glad she omitted some singles just for these.....Uninvited still stands out as my fave track and it sure beats the hell outta the Acoustic JLP she released earlier this year.....only listened to it once and wasn’t impressed.
Wish I oculd have seen her in London this week but by the time I found out about it,it was sold out:-((((
