best tour?

which tour do you think was roxette’s finest?
RobS said on October 19, 2005 07:46:
CBB, only coz it’s the only one i’ve been too.
But the JTJ tour looked like great fun, at least on Live-Ism :-D

I think Joyride was the most OK. From then onl everything was just a Greatest Hits Tour...

I never attended a concert, but for what I’ve seen, the most exciting and brilliant (estetically) tour was CBB! Join The Joyride was not totally polished. And R. Service Tour sounds a little tired, Marie’s voice was not in perfect shape then.
Greatest Hits Tour? LOL, of course. They have enough hits now, and have to perform them. What did you expect? Surrender on 2001? In Look Sharp Live! they didn’t have enough hits to fill a whole concert, so some album tracks were Ok. But now they have enough hit repertoire...

The best tour is yet to come ofcourse! (at least I hope so) I hope Per will write some awesome rox tunes again, which will be international hits and we get another big world tour!

Sounds cool! :-D
So far the C!B!B! tour has impressed me the most – it was my first rox tour! But the RS tour had better visual effects.
Santi, that’s just because they didn’t have so many hits until then...

Sascha: Yes, and that was cool from the point of view of attending a concert, you get to see more different material than just the well known old songs that everyone already knows.
It was a real big pity they performed so little material from Have A Nice Day and especially Room Service on the last tour. They didn’t even perform Real Sugar (one of the singles of that album) at the concert I attended!!
I don’t know, but it gets boring after a while, if I was them I would be bored of singing It Must Have Been Love so many times...
But I suspect it’s not just commercial requirements that keep them playing the same old songs over and over again... it’s also that the last albums are way over-produced. Too many stupid sampled noises that lead nowhere and make no musical sense on a live context. Anyway, if they ever go on tour again, they should consider playing Hotblooded, that number made the show by the Joyride age :)

@colinvdbel
I just hope “another big world tour” will include more European countries. :( I’m not talking about Serbia, I know. But at least Hungary - the country I can actually GO to and see them... :( Live... Once in this life...
@Santi
“it gets boring after a while” *sigh* *sigh again* Some people are born lucky. :(
I suppose you can actually see how sad I am... Today is just not my day. Sorry for that...

i couldn’t imagine a roxette concert(or any concert for that matter) being boring. i think it’s one of the best experiences on earth.
cheers
ps...cheer up denny, one will come by you soon! =)
i had to wait 11 years before i was able to see roxette in concert! well worth it though....

Santi, they played Hotblooded at the RS tour – and it made the show! I would have loved to hear Fool and Jefferson as well. :-)

Thanks realmiddlename. :)
As for the songs, I would like to hear Surrender live. My fav song. Will never happen.

I’ve never seen Rox live! either alas as they only visited Ireland once and I was living in France @ the time:-(
From what I know of each of the 4 Tours, I would say C!B!B! for sheer energy. Each time I wtch Marie in DFS and the way she gets the audience’s hands swaying a clapping I get goosebumps. However I think overall the RS Tour as they do trax from HAND which is my fave Rox album......COY is mesmerising!
All in all tho each Tour has its merits, altho I never really watch the first 2 Tour videos anymore.....just CB!B! and the 2 DVDs

in an interview they said the best tour was C!B!B! TOUR... or was it ROOM SERVICE?
I just could go to the ROOM SERVICE TOUR, so for me it´s the best, ;-P
