*Pa väg boxset* What's it worth?
sandyam said on October 17, 2005 19:05:
Someone told me it was worth around 100 Euros.

I just bought it for 20 Euros and it looks like new.
Was it my lucky day?

I guess the seller needed money desperately... He doesn’t know what he did...

I think you were rather lucky! :) I think it could be worth something like 25-30 Euros. More I wouldn’t pay.

I think it’s not that cheap! Try eBay or something like that, and you will not find a single copy of it! A box appears, from time to time, but no very often. And the final price is usually rather high. So, I wouldn’t say the average price is 25-30 euros, because it’s not an item so easy to get nowadays. I would say a normal price is not less than 50 euro (50-70 euros, more or less). Just consider the CD of demos is not available separately.

@room service: I didn’t say the average price on ebay is 25-30 Euros. I said I think it is WORTH 25-30 Euros. What people are paying for stuff on Ebay is completely irrelevant. There are plenty of things there that are sold for way much more than they will ever be worth. I can give you loads of examples that I find rather sick...
A box costed ones upon a time around 300 SEK (around 30 Euros) new in Sweden and they are not that hard to get. It is as usual of course a matter of how patience you are. If you want to pay ridicilous amounts for it to get it immediately... well, that is up to you, but the question here was what people think the box is really worth. And I still think 25-30 Euros is what it is worth. This since it is far from rare and still rather easy to get hold of if you just have some patience. I have also seen the box for this price now and then lately...
But this is just my opinion! :)

It is maybe easy to get in SWEDEN, but no elsewhere, you have to consider that. And, according to some Swedish fans, it is not so easy to get there either. Maybe it was at time of release, but no anymore. And 25 euros is too cheap. Each CD (Per Gessle & Scener) cost, more or less, 10 euros each. Demos is no longer available, but I will say 10 euros for it too, just to give an example. So, we already have 30 euros in CD’s. Add the box, add the book. C’mon! It worths much more than 30 lousy euros!

@Room Service: How come people here have been able to buy it for 20-30 Euros then?! Of course the box is more common in Sweden since it was released there. But why not buy it from there then? I have seen it for sale on Tradera some times already and there you definetly didn’t have to pay any $90 for it!! The demos CD is NOT rare! I have seen it in used record stores many times for prices between 10-50 SEK (1-5 Euros) and the other CDs are not more expensive used. Not even CDON charges 10 Euros for them new anymore, so why pay more used?!
I don’t say I am an expert in pricing, but I do know how much I am willing to pay and I think I have learned a little bit about prices during my 10 years as a collector. I don’t want to sound mean or anything, but it IS my opinion that this box is NOT worth more and I personally think that you have been fooled when buying this box for $90! Period!

I suppose it can also come down to how much someone wants to pay for it, or how badly they want or need it...
Room_service said on October 17, 2005 19:57:
I paid 90 dollars for it, so that price is not so inaccurate...
