all I can say folks is both these new albums are TOTALLY sensational.....I’m torn between listening to them both. If you have a few spare $$££EuroRandWotever, invest in one or both of these. I guarantee you WON’T b disappointed!

I’m just home from Oz this week - very sad to have left (!) and actually did check HMV in SYD and yeah they both seem to not have had much focus in recent years. Both albums are absolutely blinding with some outstanding songs, in particular Craving on tATu’s and Red Dress on Sugababes.......listenin to tATu’s as I write......:-)

I picked up the first t.A.T.u. album in a Boxing Day sale for $1.98 and I’m ashamed to say that I love it and as soon as I have a couple bucks to spare, I’m going to buy the new one too. Their voices are terrible, their image is silly, every song is about how terrible it is being a fake lesbian teenager ...but damn I love the music! It’s such a great, original sound... layers and layers of electronica and distorted guitar, pounding synthetic beats, like Garbage but with twice the drama and none of the talent. Damned catchy, glad they did a second album, wish they’d take testosterone shots to lower their screechy voices!!

By the way, I came across no fewer than two - TWO! - reviews of t.A.T.u. albums that compared them to Roxette! I don’t see the connection at all (great catchy melodies?) but there must be something to it, it’s not like every band that comes along gets compared to Roxette...
I was also surprised by how many positive reviews I came across of t.A.T.u. (especially the first album)... almost all of them started with something like, “I was really, REALLY hoping this album would suck but...”
(hides from Judith who is sure to kill me for saying I like t.A.T.u. and Melissa Etheridge in the same sentence!)

@RuRoxLove sorry for the delay in answering!!!! I forgot about this thread for some reason! Anyway yes there are other good songs on Navsegda but it’s better if you wait a little and listen to Pora instead which is the reissue of the album with a few more interesting songs.

I love the new t.A.T.u. album. Friend or Foe is one of my favourite tracks. I bought the single the other day. I prefer the Russian release; “Ludi Invalidy”. It has different versions of tracks and a couple of other songs. The Sugababes album is pretty good too.
