Milk toast & honey remixes

It’s been a while since my last visit and most of you won’t even remember me. I wasn’t around that much. But when I ran into these 2 remixes I thought it would be nice to share them with you. I hope it’s not against forum rules to post this link if so, please forgive me
Roxette - Milk toast and honey (Vidal House mix).mp3
Roxette - Milk toast and honey (Vidal Breakbeat mix).mp3
The first 1 (house mix) is the best mix of this song around. I had the single edit even before the CDsingle was released and was really disapointed that this mix wasn’t there. This is an extended mix of that track. The other one is a bit messy if you ask me but perhaps some of you like it more.
I have a request out for higher quality MP3s but until than you have to do it with these................

I think they are but they were never released. Just listen to them you can tell they’re not “cheap” fan mixes. They were done by a Brazilian DJ.

Well i guess the whole Roxette community is downloading them - will try a little later again!!

Thank you so much for the links... my personal opinion is that these AREN’T official or atleast not to official standards... it’s sounds like they simply added another audio layer to the original!

You said: “The first 1 (house mix) is the best mix of this song around”.
Mmm, I don’t think so. I still prefer the official remixes: Shooting Star Treatment and the Active Dance Mix. I don’t wanna deceive you, but that’s the truth!!!

If I was informed correctly at least the House mix was official and released as a promo 12”. It’s also known as the “Fragma mix” but that was a single edit.
Official or not, I don’t really care I just like them.
Oh and I doing mixing and stuff myself you couldn’t have done this without the acapella version so..............
Room_service said on October 11, 2005 20:34:
House mix official? I don’t think so. If it was released as a 12” it must have been a bootleg.
dazzarama said on October 15, 2005 01:36:
Yep Ronald you are right. You couldn’t have done these without the acappella, which suggests to me they are official.
I have the official 12” which has the extended active dance mix on it, which I think is the best mix, pity it wasn’t on CD.
However, I love these! Being a bitrate snob, I wonder if anyone has them @ 192 kb/s or higher?

I use to think “official” things are released on CD (or vinyl in sometimes). If this was never released, how can it be called “official”?
The “Vidal House Mix” is more or less the same remix that was previously out, under the name “Fragma Remix”. I don’t think it’s the best remix of this song. I always considered the Fragma mix something cheap. For me, the only official remixes of M&A&T are the ones “officially” released on CD/vinyl. These were made by some unknown DJ, but not for EMI.

Hi Room Service
I’d still call it “official”. More often than people may realise, record companies sanction remixes of songs but they are never released.
The most glaring examples of this are the Almighty remixes of Crush on You. They are official, but have not been released.
I am a big Thunderpuss fan (Chris Cox and Barry Harris) - they have remixed heaps of people like Madonna and Cher. Out of all their official remixes (over 100) I reckon less than half were released at all. Most eventually leaked onto the internet but there are still a couple that are missing.
Cheers

Dazza, maybe you are right. But I won’t won’t call these remixes “official” because one person pretends that. EMI have to admit they are official, and then I will recognise that! For my part, they don’t sound very professional, it’s more a mish-mash remix made up by some obscure DJ than an “official remix”.
