Song for Marie?

Je, good topic...

So, did Per ever wrote a song dedicated to Marie during her illness?
Probably it was already a topic, but i couldn’t find it.

I don’t think he did....

Don’t think so either, but I have a guess though..doesn’t make sense, but that’s the way it is. I still think there is something about “jag tror du bär på en stor hemlighet”. It fits SO damn good.

Good question, Sire!!!!

Oh! I think this is the question of the century!

*blushing* What does the “jag tror du bär på en stor hemlighet” mean?

I’m Swedish and I don’t see the relevance of Hemlighet and Marie... :S

Yeah and Per already said that this song is about a “new love”, I know that. And still.. :) Too much fantasy on the way, I guess. ;)

Strange, i thought about “Jag tror du bär...”,too. But my swedish is so bad, so i couldn’t really find the sence. (By the way, my english isn’t much better)
Rather it would be natural after all to write a song in such a situation if you are a musician, or??? What do you think?

Especially the words: Men just i år är sommaren ingens vän. Just i år har alla regnbågens färger tagit slut...

and an english translation?

Maybe it’s not correct (enough), but it’s a try:

I think you carry a big secret
I think you carry a wet dream about life
But this very year the summer is no one’s friend
This very year the rainbow is out of colors

But when the night comes you go out
You have wings, all the rest are like before
You want to start when all is at end
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in, breathe out…

Nobody hits me as hard as you
No one sees through me like you do
This very year the fever is extra severe
This very year the instinctive answers are out

And when the night comes you go out
Your fingers untie every knot
For your sake the moon is slightly tilted
Breathe in, breathe out
Breathe in, breathe out…

I think you carry a big secret
I think you carry a wet dream about life
But this very year the summer is no one’s friend
This very year the rainbow’s colors have lost their shine

But when the night comes there is a chance
You have wings and everyone else knows your name
And for your sake I do all I can
Everything I say is true
Everything I say is true
Everything I say is… true

jajaja Per carry with a big secret :O

Gaaaaaanz lieben Dank, Kiwein!!!

Well, after reading it in german i have to agree with tevensso. Except the two lines i can’t really see a context between the song an Marie!

So there is still this question! Anyone another suggestion?

Reading the english translation i have to say that some parts felt could be related to Marie’s situation back then. But that’s the good thing about songs you can interpretate them with several meanings. And this one in particular could be talking about an universal theme but due to the time it was written (or released) it wouldn’t surprise me that this matter influenced Per at some point.

R.

There’s always space left for guesses and everybody interpretes this stuff different. Actually, someoone asked Per about this thing, if he once dedicated a song to Marie and he answered NO. Believe it or not. I do like my phantasy, though.

What about “Inte tillsammans, inte isär” or “tända en sticka till”..

ehehhe...I was me to ask Per if he had dedicated a song to Marie especially after her illness. And yes, Per said NO but this answer from him was before he wrotes Hemlighet and this song I think really fits perfectly Marie so I think we have to re-ask to Per this question.. ;)

I think Inte tillsammans, Inte isar is for Marie too (and she do backing vocals on it) ;) so it’s crystal clear....

Crystal...

Hi Guys

Plz could someone post some translations for the songs BadMoon mentioned?

Thanx!

BTW: Thanx for the translations already posted - it helps a lot. Also, whether the song (translated by Kiwein1) is about Marie or not, it is a really beautiful song...

Well.. maybe he hasn’t actually made any demo out of any song written for Marie.. so that’s why he answered NO to that question. But as someone said, it would be kind of natural for a songwriter to write when a very good friend is very sick.

@Kiwein: I SO much agree with you about Jag tror du bär på en stor hemlighet. It seems that my imagination is also too vivid, but well... the song fits perfectly! I have my theories too and I used this tune in my FF. :)

there’s another song a little bit ambiguos, HAPPY TOGETHER.
You can hear Per singing ’they’ and then into the middle-eighth he refers to himself when he sings ’i coudn’t ever hurt no one....if you feel shattered I’m sorry for what I’ve done..’ and then into the chorus there’s no more ’they could have been so happy together’ but ’WE could have been...’ and he sings that line together with Marie... ;)

Maybe Per hasn’t written the song for Marie on purpose, but who knows where the inspiration comes from?..

oh yeah...he can ’sing la dee da’ with Asa... ;)
