I’m really looking forward to seeing this film. I loved the book when I was a kid, and I remember really liking the mini-series which the BBC made back in the late-80’s. I’ve seen a few clips from it, and it looks really good!! Brilliant effects.
There seems to be loads of brilliant films coming out soon. Also looking forward to King Kong.
Any other films people are looking forward to?

I bet it’s not as good as the BBC version... I get tired of CGI crap all the time.

Looking forward to it too...great stories, just like the writers good friend, JRR Tolkien ;)
My mother read it to me when I was little...it’s an awesome story, let’s hope they’ll do it some justice (and film the other 6 books as well ;) )

I don’t know about the other 6... but imho, TLTWTW was the MOST popular of the books because children could relate to the “Magical Wardrobe / Kingdom” and everything contained therein.

I used to love that show. I didn’t even know there was a movie being made. Gonna have to keep my eye out for its release.

Enter the Wardrobe and then up at the top there should be Aslan’s head, move the pointer up there until it activates the drop down feature and you’ll be able to click on Cast & Crew, which is listed under “The Movie” part.

Can’t w8 either!! Looks ace, as does the trailer for the new Jodie Foshter movie! I actually played Edmund in a school musical all those years ago (1986....where does the time fly!). I still remember the ’solo’ I had to sing too, teehee. Sadly that event determined that the world was not yet ready to hear my cat-strangling vocals:-) I recently came out of hiding (last Friday to be exact) and under the influence of my dear friend Mr Jack Daniels, I threw myself into Dancing Queen & Fame @ The Pickled Possum in sydney......litmus test showed that world still not ready 4 my honey tones:-)

Real: *lol* Perhaps you need a partner to sing with ;o)
Don’t ask me though... I’m a tenor / alto... soprano hurts me to sing.

Majdy: From what I understand, even though chronologically (to the story), The Magician’s Nephew is first, The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was the first book.
I thought about buying the all-inclusive volume of the Chronicles of Narnia I’ve seen. It has The Magician’s Nephew placed first. I’d be tempted to read TLTW&TW first though.
I am looking forward to the movie too. The trailer looks quite enticing.
And Harry Potter. I just finished Goblet of Fire not long ago and I’m cracking to see how they whittle that monstrous tome down to a few hours. I know the house elves subplot is out, but Rita Skeeter is in. . .

saw the trailer few days ago. it seemed that it’s gonna be great, everyone ;)
but still like Mr. Potter better :)

I haven’t read the books yet but I like this kind of stories. My favourite book is “The Lord of the Rings” , I have read it more than 10 times (in my language and in English) but usually I prefer the books.

saw it on weekend, and i must say that Narnia and Goblet of Fire was the best movie of the year!!!! the special effects was so amazing!!! the story was great! Tilda something (i forgot her name) rocks! and this move already beat goblet of fire in Box Office chart.
I am a huge harry potter fans, and I prefer harry potter’s book than narnia, but I must say the movie version of narnia maybe a bit better than goblet of fire....
rox-kuryliw said on December 12, 2005 20:40:
it hasnt beaten it at all ?
goblet of fire, took $102,685,961 opening weekend.
lion witch and the .. took $67,064,000 opening weekend !
Majdy said on December 13, 2005 14:31:
@ rox-kuryliw : I don’t mean the money Potter made for the whole weeks, but ONLY this week :)
anyway, I still love Harry, Ron and Hermione better :)
