Inganakee Leo Yo?

Am I the only one who doesn’t know what the words mean? :P No, but seriously, does anyone in here know? What language?

This was brought up once before, here it comes again (no complaints... I just woke up and am still blinking the crap outta my eyes).

Per wrote the response to that question as “needing something to help keep the rhythm and flow of the song, and those words were used. They don’t mean anything.”

I think... Jude, Sparvoga... I think know for sure because they’d corralled the answer before...

“Leo Yo” means literally “I Read” in Spanish, if you want to know ... but it’s true they used it just because it sounded OK and has no meaning at all.

It’s a mantra, meaning nothing in any language.

Thanks tev

Thanks! I figured this had come up before, but I don’t think you can search here on TDR’s forum so that’s why I asked.
Typical Per to write something totally without meaning... He’s the expert of making big hits with a chorus of “nanananana” or something like that :P

Cicci: *lol* Hey... if it helps the ebb and flow... who am I to argue?

That’s what I’ve found on the net:

“It Will Take A Long Long Time :: Roxette

There is a part in this song where Marie sings : “Inganakee leo yo / Inganakee leo” . Per has said this phrase has no meaning and was used to help him remember the melody. He thought it sounded cool and they used it in the song. He then later said it was a mantra....but his latest explanation is “It means Köttbullarna är varma så passa på att äta!” - which translates to “The meatballs are warm so let’s eat”. You think he extracting the urine?? :o)

This track briefly features in the 1999 Gere / Roberts film - Runaway Bride - but did not make it onto the soundtrack album. “

It comes from roxette.co.uk - faq pages :) I hope it’ll help.

It’s a Per’s sense of humor :) And we like it :P:P

Haha, “extracting the urine”. I like it. :P
