ROXETTE SINGER STUNNING AT 46 Looking stunning at 46-years-old, former Roxette singer Marie Fredriksson filmed the video for her comeback single in Manchester on Friday (May 6). Dressed in a revealing purple jacket and hotpants, the Swedish singer appeared not a day older than she did in her heyday 15 years ago. The singer’s new track is a remix of her old band’s 1991 hit Fading Like A Flower, and will be released under the name Dancing DJs V Roxette. The song is set to be another chart hit in the vein of recent smashes by Eric Prydz, Uniting Nations and the Sunset Strippers, all of which have put a modern dance spin on soft rock classics from the 1980s. Roxette became one of Sweden’s most successful exports in the late 1980s and early 1990s, racking up nearly 20 international hits with songs like Joyride and The Look. Fredriksson has since enjoyed a successful solo career in Sweden, but her new dance track will be her first UK release since the 1990s.
