Totally off topic.. but speaking of Poland I read in the UK newspapers that it was a lot cheaper to fly to Poland for dental treatment that here in the UK...
anyone recommend a good dentist in Poland!

Yeah, well, as far as I know medical treatments are a lot more cheaper, here, in Poland than in old-UE countries :-) But I don’t know if it’s really worth to come to Poland just to visit a denstist I’d recommend you to visit Poland as a tourist - everyone will find sthg interesting :)

@Tomos85, I don’t know if “Nichya” are very popular in Poland but sometimes you can see their videos on VIVA Polska (which I receive by Sat).
By the way do you reccomend any good Polish artists with Roxette sound or at least in the Pop/Rock genre? I don’t like all that RAP you see on VIVA Polska (it’s too much!!!). There’s one Pop/Rock song every 20 Rap songs... so any suggestions will be appreciated!
I like “To co dobre” from Kasia Kowalska and “Nie bylo” from Sweet Noise... the only rap song (more hip hop than rap) I like is “Dla mnie masz stajla” or something like that... wielke jol is not bad too...

Well, maybe you don’t know but Kasia Kowalska (this one who sings “To co dobre” / “What’s good” on her last solo album “Samotna w wielkim miescie” / “Alone in big city”) sang Roxette song in Polish. She has even made a video for it. It was “Listen to your heart”, in Polish it is called “Widze Twoja twarz” (I see your face). And this is the link to the video from the best Polish Rox-site:

Well, Polish music business is mostly concern on hip-hop/rap music, which I don’t listen to. But you can listen to Monika Brodka (a star from Polish edition of 3rd Idol) - she’s now very popular here, although I don’t keen on her music :-) if you want jazz-feel there is a great signer Anna Maria Jopek with her latest album “Secret” (her last album is in English).
There are many groups that can be found interesting:
- Kombii
- £zy (Tears)
- Wilki (Wolves)
Or solo singers
- Kayah
- Kazik
- Krzysztof Kilijanski (he sings in Polish and English...)

This is getting a little off-topic but anyhow... you know I live in a small town near Rome with the highest percentage of Romanian and Polish people in the country!!!! As I am half English (therefore blond, white skin...) I sometimes get stopped by Polish people who ask me things in Polski!!! Of course I don’t understand anything... I can only say “czest”! Now if you add the thing that I also listen to Polish music while driving you can imagine how confused they get!!! He he. When Poland, Estonia, Latvia etc... joined the EU I was very happy ’cos now nobody stops me to check my passport in Rome!!!! *Lol* We have a lot of illegal people staying in Rome from eastern Europe that’s why they’re doing this.
About Polish special letters, seen ad you need unicode support to write them (and Winamp won’t read them at all in my ID3 tags), is there a way to write them in a different more international friendly way? For example in Swedish you can write:
ae for “ä”
oe for “ö” and
aa for “å”
So if are unabele to write “På väg” you can at least write “Paa vaeg” which is better than “Pa vag”!

Unfortunately, there is no other way to write, as you called, Polish special letters. But there is maybe an combination on the keyboard, which I don’t know - in Poland we just press ALT + a orgin letter.
But there is an option in Microsoft Word that allows you to put other, foreign letter.
There are 9 signs that take orgins in 8 letter - a, c, e,l,n,o,s,z.

I’ve never heard about this group although I try to be up-to-date in Polish music and all the artist that want to sell theirs records on our market... In Poland singles are very rare, coz it’s not popular to buy them... There are just promos that goes to the radio station and so on...
No idea where you can find this record. As far as I know it wasn’t realsed :)
