News???

Come on guys! Look at the daily cover. What can you see? Fritzon selling cars, DHT with their success in USA, Dancing DJ’s single out in July, Fritzon’s company develops audiobook machine for libraries, Totta Näslund, 60, dies after long illness, Frida re-releasing “Something’s Going On” (interesting...), Minor record label in Halmstad revolts.....
Don’t you think that this web is not about Roxette? It’s about anything but Roxette... I don’t mind DHT, I don’t mind nothing about Fritzon’s cars, don’t mind Dancing Dj’s.. I love Roxette. If Roxette is dead right now, and If there’s no news about Roxette I’d prefer that don’t put nothing on the website... it’s my humble opinion...
What do you think????

I think it’s your choice to read it or not. What if some fan of Gyllene Tider wants to buy Fritzon’s cars?
If you want no news of them, don’t read the news section, because you know there are no news at the moment... Just go into the forum and have your says...
My opinion is that people complains too much about things that they themselves can solve.

I think it’s ok, I don’t really pay attention to news like this but I think its better than having nothing at all for weeks at a time. If it’s slightly rox related, why not? When some real Per news comes up, they’ll write about that instead but for now if Fritzon’s cars is the only news then we just have to deal with it.

yeah, this is just like another newspaper. When I visit elmundo.es or any other newspaper, I read the headlines and decide myself what I want to read.
You can do the same here, you don’t need to read the news if you aren’t interested.
We have always written these kind of (Rox/Music business) related articles, just that before they were mixed together with news about GT/P/M/Rox and you maybe didn’t realise it so much. Now they are one after the other as there’s nothing about Rox&Co to write about..
Or what should we do instead? Close the site down “see you when there’s something real going on”?
We’ll have to wait and see what Autumn brings :)

I think is not the daily, it’s my wish for the good times come back in one way or an another :-)
BTW it’s my start website :-)

I guess most of us are longing for news and new stuff.. we’ll have to be a bit patient and see what happens in some months ;)
Cool about the startpage ;)

Hey, if there is any news, related to roxette, it is sure that THIS website, The Daily Roxette, will be the first to let us know, no doubt about that.
So if there is no other “news” available then the above-mentioned topics, it is clear there is no news.
Still, I check TDR every day, because IF there is news, I want to know it as soon as possible, and where else to check than at The Daily?

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR so stupid, if you don’t wanna read it, then bog off somewhere else...
Personally I give thumbs up all the way to TDR for stuff that appears in the news! :) it all makes good reading! regardless whether it has anything to do with Roxette or not!

My concern with this type of “news” is that ultimately it will turn away Rox fans from this site.
I for one, would be gutted if the Rox community were to disappear from this little corner of the Internet.
Jud (moderator) said on July 5, 2005 15:30:
If people leave now, they will come back - this site is second to none, if Rox fans want news, this is the place to be ;)
It could also happen if we would not update the front page in - say - 2 months. People come here, see there’s nothing for a week, for two, three... and think the site has been abandoned and leave.

i like the news, it gives a bit of variety. Constantly reading ’the adventures of Per’ would be a bit dull. I mean, some sites would get excited every time Per or Marie farted in the bath, but TDR is rightfully more measured.
Good work, as usual.
ps -it would be my start page, if I didnt have to use that for nerdy uni stuff.

I’d also like to be kept up to date with things like the law suits against piracy and what not. There was one that hit Comcast.net the other day that I submitted because it ruled for musicians, and basically overturned a lower court’s ruling.
